FWIW... I didn't leave USE because of push/pull debate. I left on my own because I personally prefer to play with follow cam on. I understand this society wants the most authentic and realistic way to play.. ☺️ Well, I’ll miss having you around Nina. All the best 🙏🏼

This sums quite nicely up why I leave this society. Have it crossed your mind that some of us simply are not that good with the controller? (or the mouse.. artvandelay ?) booze ; you are wrong. I am very happy that Paul and Wade have tested it out and found out that this is just bullshit. If I could be consistent inside the blue, I would do that any day - because I get less penalty inside the blue compared to outside. Any one of you that believe this bullshit that has come from TGCtours on this matter that is presented by booze, should do the test I put up at the admin section: The swing feedback must be on for this. Go out on the course in the game. All aims are to be the same on all shots so if you plan to test a push or pull, aim to the side - but always the same amount adjusting for wind. You must be wild with the controller. Not just barely missing the blue, but all the way from the blue to 21.00 or 3.00. Make sure you get a wide dispersion on your shots - actually not like Wade either, make it even wider. And no, not just all the shots out that far, no - make sure you get some close to the blue, some to 1.00, some to 2.00 etc (or 22.00, 23.00 etc on pull shots for us right handers). If you believe booze and GW_Hope, you should always land pretty much on the same spot no matter how far you miss. So: go out there and test this. If you’re denying it’s an advantage Anders, why do you want to do it? No one has asked you to change anything, so why pursue this? There’s nothing you can say that will convince me it’s not an exploit. Again, if it’s not then why do it? If you decide to leave, thanks for everything you’ve done - but holding people hostage to say it’s not an exploit or you’ll leave has left a bad taste in my mouth. This could, and should have been left alone weeks ago. I find no joy in playing in a society where the majority of members regards me as an exploiter of the game. I am not holding anyone hostage - everyone is entitled to their opinion, even if the opinion in my view is clearly wrong - and I believe everyone who test this out properly will find that out. My reason for playing a pull, is because that is what my thumb do, and so I compensate for that on my aim. I get ca. 65% fairways and GIR - so you know my accuracy. If I aim straight, I will at least 90% miss to the left - some more than others. So it is better for me to aim to the right to compensate for that. I know quite well that this is a disadvantage, but I can play with that - at least as long as the penalty on the swing plane is pretty low compared to tempo. If I could be better with the controller and hit inside the blue, I would be more accurate. So, if nothing can convince you it´s not an exploit, why won´t you test it out? A test should just confirm what you believe, right?

I don’t EVER want to be in a position where I need a good shot and know there’s an exploit out there I could use. I’ve honed my swing over years of playing online golf, I’m not going to change it when I do it the way 99% of players agree it should be done, and I’m as good at doing it as almost anyone I’ve seen playing. I also watched people using it who had barely practiced and because they had a good controlled swing, the exploit was clear and obvious. No one here has said, implied or suggested you’re an exploiter of the game. At any stage of this. You’ve argued this and kept the subject alive when everyone has tried to keep it civil and just move on. I’d put you in the same category as Gav. Got a funky swing that you’ve made work for you as best you can. The fact that you can’t swing consistently enough to get the results means (to me) that you’re really not ‘using’ the exploit as much as being a slight beneficiary of a recognised fault in the game. Having said that, if you admit it’s harder to swing consistently in the lines, then isn’t that (by definition) saying that it’s easier to swing outside? Judging yourself on percentages against the PGA doesn’t really mean anything, the only measurement that ever matter is against people trying to do the same thing, in this case swing straight? I’m really trying to not keep talking about this - it’s souring me on the game. I haven’t finished a single event this week, or wanted to play.

Yes, you are saying I am exploiting the game, because I do what you regard as an exploit. That does not mean I have a bad opinion of you or any others - it just kills the fun for me playing here. 99% of the players, right? I remember reading on the TGCtours forum that Doley said that the majority of the players on the CC tours missed the blue bar most of the time. And too many missed the blue bar too often also on the KF and Euro tour - most of whom scores crap. So at least on the TGC tours, it seems like the majority are playing a push or pull... You should indeed continue to play inside the blue Ray, because doing something else will hurt your game. But I cannot do anything other than respect your opinion and that you will not test the claims out for yourself - though I would wager heavy on you changing your mind if you did. No, it is not easier for me to swing consistent outside the line compared to inside the blue. When I miss, I will miss more pr. pixel than you do. Quite the opposite to what is claimed here. So I know I am at a disadvantage to those that manage to be inside the blue. Perhaps I should buy a new controller?

Ok maybe I AM saying you’re using an exploit, but please listen to what I’m about to say. I don’t care if you do. You’re not ‘using’ the exploit because you can’t swing consistently enough to get the benefit. The way you’ve described your experience of the game sounds the same as mine. You aim to allow for your predicted miss, sometimes you hit it where you thought and nail it, sometimes you hit it left or right of your intended target. That’s NOT what the guys using the exploit are able to do. I’m very poor, but I’ll send you A$20 towards a new controller, it may change your experience entirely. If we can all just go back a month and forget this ever happened I’ll also add everyone to my Christmas card list, even Al 😂 🙏🏼

Ray, according to the claims, the more you miss and are inconsistent, the more benefit you get - because there is claimed to be this magic wall where the further you miss, the less penalty you get. The claims are that not far outside the blue, this magic wall appears, and all you have to do is to fling the stick to the side, miss to 3.00 and you still hit the same spot, 100% fairways and GIR, etc. I am quite rich thank you, so keep the money

The main exploit is when loft is applied, which is another reason it’s not really as much of an issue here.
Australians are all rich in a way. The health care I’ve received has been worth hundreds of thousands of dollars if I lived elsewhere. We also have kangaroos, which are awesome to ride around on when you can’t get an Uber 😆

We also have kangaroos, which are awesome to ride around on when you can’t get an Uber 😆 Surprisingly I don´t agree that there is an exploit with the loft box either. If you max loft or deloft, the blue bar is very thin. So thin that almost all of us miss (unless you are robotic straight). So it is just smart to play for a push or pull and aim accordingly. Since the swing line is outside the blue, more penalty is applied. So again, those that are good at this are very consistent in their swing line. That is just skill, not exploit. Also, the swing plane is much less penalized than tempo, so small misses in swing plane are not that huge. That is why Xbox is at such a disadvantage - tempo misses are big, plane misses are small. The norwegian healthcare is also pretty good

It’s amazing how people can look at the same thing and interpret it differently.
Don’t worry about what anyone else is thinking. Don’t let the fact that I don’t agree with your analysis of what other people are doing change the way you play or feel about playing.
We’ve a good group here. We don’t all have to agree on everything, but unless I’m mistaken no one here has mentioned a problem with the way you play.

My old XB one controller which is not broken but the right stick is much looser is damn near impossible to hit 2 shots the same.

It seems that only 360 controllers should be used by all - so everyone gets the harder game! Right Paul? It is also impossible to flick with the 360 controller, eliminating that too.

If you want a great controller look at the Scuf Gaming controllers for Xbox or PS4. They are expensive but high quality.

If you want to short swing, have at it. If you want to push or pull deliberately have at it - but don’t blow wind up my ass saying it’s not an advantage. If it’s not, why do it? If what was shown in that Pga thread doesn’t convince you, nothing will. That is all. No hard feelings, let’s just play on 🙂
