This sums quite nicely up why I leave this society. Have it crossed your mind that some of us simply are not that good with the controller? (or the mouse.. artvandelay ?) booze ; you are wrong. I am very happy that Paul and Wade have tested it out and found out that this is just bullshit. If I could be consistent inside the blue, I would do that any day - because I get less penalty inside the blue compared to outside. Any one of you that believe this bullshit that has come from TGCtours on this matter that is presented by booze, should do the test I put up at the admin section: The swing feedback must be on for this. Go out on the course in the game. All aims are to be the same on all shots so if you plan to test a push or pull, aim to the side - but always the same amount adjusting for wind. You must be wild with the controller. Not just barely missing the blue, but all the way from the blue to 21.00 or 3.00. Make sure you get a wide dispersion on your shots - actually not like Wade either, make it even wider. And no, not just all the shots out that far, no - make sure you get some close to the blue, some to 1.00, some to 2.00 etc (or 22.00, 23.00 etc on pull shots for us right handers). If you believe booze and GW_Hope, you should always land pretty much on the same spot no matter how far you miss. So: go out there and test this. I’m very late to replying, but wanted this to die anyway. But since you said I was wrong...no, I am not wrong...at all. It’s a fact but believe what you want, doesn’t matter to me anymore. If what was shown in that Pga thread doesn’t convince you, nothing will. That is all. No hard feelings, let’s just play on 🙂 No problem for this to die away - we could go back and forth with "you are wrong" - "no, I´m not" etc to no purpose. Either way, I would still highly recommend to do the test that I describe, and if you are so certain that you are correct, that should be a minimum in my humble opinion. My prediction are that all that do that test properly will change their mind and realize that the claims are wrong. But I can´t make anyone test this properly, so if some refuse to do that and still maintain that misses are exploits, well - you are of course entitled to have that opinion, even if I know it to be totally wrong. I have the support that I thought I was lacking, which makes me want to continue to play and contribute here as soon as I get my new PC. |

You use a 360 don't you Anders?. I tried my old 360 controller recently, big difference and much harder to hit consistently than my current XB one controller that I currently use. My old XB one controller which is not broken but the right stick is much looser is damn near impossible to hit 2 shots the same. I just got my new PC with the Xbox one controller. I just have to say: what a difference! This is night and day. I just played a round at Atlungstad Golf in the game, and only had a very slow drive on the 15th which was my own fault, and a three putt on the 16th for a -6 on the round (played medium wind and default conditions). So hit all fairways with the exception of the 15th due to tempo, all shots very close or inside the blue bar with a small tendency to a pull (I would say the vast majority was well inside the blue bar) but I found out on the range I had to compensate so much less that it is in all essence a straight shot. So much easier that it is ridiculous. Expect me to get much better fairway and GIR stats from now on.  |
