Yes, using a mouse. I’ll wait for the mouse users, but thanks anyway.

But that is the thing though. You can hit with the same backstroke distance and not get the same result. Without being accurate, the same backstroke distance go different distances on the green related to where the aim marker is. So for instance, a 50 feet and a 30 feet may have the same backstroke distance to get to the hole on a flat green. I’ve not experienced this but then maybe I don’t analyse it too much, I’ve always been a feel player in these games which was why I wasn’t competitive in the last game on TGCT where everyone was using maths and crooked swings etc. But my speed on the greens has always been good (I think) and I feel like I hole loads of putts so not sure if there’s an error or not. I’ll be in PC designing soon so will play a few rounds but on PS4 it feels solid It may be that you and Paul has got the feel for how this works in the game, is what I am guessing. I only noticed it when pulling all the way back with elevated view. Short putting is easier with this mechanic, because you can pull back longer on the 2-5 footers, and not overshoot the putt, while the same backswing length is approriate for a 15 footer when you are standing on that distance on the green (ie - you have a 3 foot putt and use the same backswing length as you would on a 15 feet putt - and it both works when you are at that distance (3 or 15 feet)). I really do not like this, but as always in these games - you need to adapt. While I was on the practice green, I could putt really short as well, like 5 inches - which again is really useful for nasty downhillers where you only want to just get the ball moving.

Getting the feel for how it works takes practice, the putter head pull back might seem longer to you on shorter putts because the backstroke is slower. Putting distance in this game is how far you draw back the putter, watch the video I posted with the 103 ft putt you can clearly see that the second putt from the same distance was a shorter backstroke. In the game I know straight away when I haven't hit a long putt hard enough or too hard. This whole concept is the same with the pitch shot. It may be timing for Paddy but it is all visual gauging for me

Guess I will play my rounds on Harbour later in the week. But practice green isn't the best practice for me, better to play more rounds. Very rare that I have more than 50 feet to the hole.

I am undecided on if I am going to use it for all putts - need to play practice rounds to see what works for me.

Greetings.
Think Paul nailed it. When ready to put I hit the space bar then tab, the first one is from the other end of your putt. Hitting tab will cycle the different camera views, like overhead and profile (pretty cool IMO, but not practical for making putts!).

Yes, using a mouse. I’ll wait for the mouse users, but thanks anyway. You cycle through the views using the TAB key. You can permanently change to that view in the Camera menu.

Thanks all! I got it now. Reading the greens still very difficult, but a little better now.

All this PC talk is nerdy. Console is the way to go. Simplify. Excel. 😀😀😀

Week 7: The Masters at Firethorn National Final Leaderboard SloanerTW Wins the first Major of Season 3 with a remarkable final score of -10. 8 stroke ahead of Cooks_McGooks on -2, Sosigis fights back for third place after a second round 80. Well played gentlemen. Low score of the week is Sloaners great 2nd round 66(-6). Shot of the week is this remarkable 65 footer on hole 11 round 2 by mcbogga.
