First round for me was a solid round, but I was a bit robbed at the 18th with a lip out birdie from 5 feet. Even for the round.
Second round: more of the same, but a costly mistake on the first long par 3 meant double bogey and +1 for the round. I missed a couple of short putts on this round which is really frustrating - so in total I think I have 3 shots lost on short putting which is unforgivable so far.

4 birdies, 2 bogeys. -2 for the round. Happy with that.

5 bogeys, 2 birdies, +3. Putting is letting me down. Just not reading the subtleties of the quicker greens on the new setup yet.
Swing is horrendous with the new controller. Tempo is easy with Pro clubs for the most part but my accuracy is miles off. I still want to aim right for the little pull I’ve always played with and still sometimes have, but now instead of the non pulls being straight, they’re big old block rights lol. Kinda mirrors my RL game. Hoping to hit a practice fairway next week, seems they’re open over here which I’m thankful for 🙏🏼🇦🇺🙏🏼

Played rounds 1 and 2 ... Have lost my swing a bit seem to be pulling back left on my backswing for some reason even on putts
So -1 thru 2 rounds

Third round: another even par round. Another short putt miss from 4 feet - (down 2 inches and 4 feet past the hole). Best putt for these rounds came now - 17 feet, downhill 1 feet. Those are just really nice to sink. I had way too many downhill putts this round - constantly missjudged distance too long leaving those nasty downhillers (might also say I did not get those 90 or 95% full shots that I attempted).

Love this course, such a scramblers paradise!
Shot E, -1, E, -3 for a -4 total. Like Anders I missed 3-4 tiddlers which really impacted the end score. It’s an event where you must focus every single shot

It’s an event where you must focus every single shot I like this course. I have always found it challenging, but in a good way. My fourth round was solid golf, but I didn't have the margins on my side with the putter, so it was +5 for a +6 total. Any sub-par rounds and score on this course is good.

My problem was the greens.
You guys are saying you were missing a couple putts, yet your scores are even and below par.
I was missing putts by literally an inch, on EVERY hole it seemed, and bogeying or worse, everything. I mean, like every hole, the ball would turn or go just barely over the side of the hole. Even short makeable putts!
So I was really really frustrated when I posted that.
Other than the putting, I liked everything else about the course.

There were lots of pins placed on slopes for sure - I had a few putts go round the back of the hole and circle round the back and come out the front without even touching the cup! Makes me think they would be yellow slopes or very close to. The design is excellent but the pins are a bit harsh

Gee that bold part reminds me of the last round at McDonald last week for me. Making me think twice about playing too. May need a practice round, and I usually don't do that. Hmmmm

After pitching a fit, and sulking in the clubhouse, I put on my big boy britches and went back out and finished my round.
I decided to go ahead and play round 2, and try something, since when I missed putts in the first round, the ball was rolling so far. I deliberately lagged every putt and aimed for about 1-3 feet behind where I would normally be shooting for.
If not for a disaster on hole 10, where I forgot to do that, and knew I hit it too hard when I hit, this would've been very respectable!
Thank you andersnm for a nice round, and that birdie putt on 16 was BEAUTIFUL. Looking at the card, it may have been 15. It was the really long one.

That was brutally unfun. How can you miss 50 putts over the edge? Law of averages would say half should fall! Then add in the 50 chips within an inch. Game pisses me off

Think I had the yips in Rd 1 as well. 2 x big 90 degree horseshoes from short range (and a lipped out chip). Nothing really going my way and ended up -1.
Had a -4 in Rd 2 with a few nice putts made but lipped out a 4 footer on 18 for par....a 3 putt bogey from 19 feet. -5 at the turn.
Good luck all.
