We always think of the loft box making approach shots easier but it really makes the scrambling so much more challenging without it. Hated this loft for distance with the loft box, nothing like the real game. You can totally short side yourself now and 15 foot from the pin is a good result. I just am happy to finish on the green and take my chances on the long putt, give me the 60 foot putt over the 20 yard chip/flop anyday. And like real life, it is at the short game we score or loose strokes. And like real life - distance control is key to a good short game (which makes the loft box so important for the short game as you can dial in the distance) I have usualy good Control on chip and flop shots now, but struggle with the 90-95% pitch shots which I must practice more. (also the 90-95% full shot needs practice). All approaches inside 15 feet is good in my book - though after I changed controller I must say my accuracy has been much better - but that does not mean I get any better at reading putts and distance control on the short game I think though my lag putting was pretty solid this week compared to last week. Looking forward to next week - a course that have opportunities for good scores on reachable par 5's and 4's. I need to work on my pitches and flops because they are average, my chipping can be great or very average. My long putting has been good lately as has my mid range puts (10 to 30 ft). Holed a lot of difficult putts this week that I am happy about. Two putting from a difficult position is hugely gratifying to me, love the grind of making par on a tough hole. Par is good on most holes this week, good luck to everyone who has yet to finish their rounds

Current PS4 leaderboard Looking at the PC screenshots posted here, it would appear the rage fueled missed 4 footer I had may have cost me lol. An unbelievable amount of missed putts by the smallest margin, it was honestly enraging. I also kept getting trolled by my bag selection...I take the 4 iron out and I have 4 shots that require it. Put it back in for next round...and I never use it lol. In the final round it seemed like every hole I was in between clubs! No complaints about the course though, I enjoy the difficulty.

Round 3 was going ok, actually was going quite well until 15. Just lost a little focus down the stretch.

After pitching a fit, and sulking in the clubhouse, I put on my big boy britches and went back out and finished my round.
I decided to go ahead and play round 2, and try something, since when I missed putts in the first round, the ball was rolling so far. I deliberately lagged every putt and aimed for about 1-3 feet behind where I would normally be shooting for.
If not for a disaster on hole 10, where I forgot to do that, and knew I hit it too hard when I hit, this would've been very respectable!
Thank you andersnm for a nice round, and that birdie putt on 16 was BEAUTIFUL. Looking at the card, it may have been 15. It was the really long one. Yeah man, if the greens are fast it’s best to just play cautious! I basically always start where I would aim if the putt were level elevation and a moderate type speed....then I just start moving it more based off if the greens are faster and if it’s downhill. The more downhill it is and the faster it is, the more it will break, sometimes severe since you have to hit it softer. If I have like a 13 feet downhill 5 type putt on a fast green for example, my goal isn’t even to make it... my goal is to avoid disaster lol. I baby stuff like that. Putting is hard though, we all have misses that feel infuriating and also embarrassing. Hell I just missed a 3 foot putt in USE Fictional a few hours ago and it wasn’t even downhill lol. Happens to everyone.

Played rounds 1 and 2 ... Have lost my swing a bit seem to be pulling back left on my backswing for some reason even on putts So -1 thru 2 rounds Left on backswing...all too familiar. I fight that shit a lot, sometimes I swear it’s HB behind it..sometimes it’s just always left unless I pull back drastically to the right. I don’t know. Weird, cause it seems to vary. The swing that worked won’t work anymore if you play later on in the day. Maybe I’m just crazy lol.

Round 4 Had a few great putts actually, but ultimately it was the putter that let me down on 18. Sigh. Still happy to have a score like this on a course like that. And managed to finish ahead two fine players, unless polekatt/josia has a beyond epic final 16 holes:

Sorry guys, I couldn't bring myself to finish this one, so hammers1man , make sure to give me a DNF
I started Round 4, and after 2 holes I realized it just wasn't fun, so I brought it in, regrouped, and went on to week 42.
