Speed golfing the last two rounds when I got frustrated by the bumpy greens. I just wanted to be done. Nothing against the real course which I think is fantastic - I just don´t like this recreation at all (it feels like playing a badly done fantasy course - which I never would have played unless it was a USE tournament). Ofcourse a bogey on 17th after a four putt I believe on the last round.

I swear, we were playing almost identical lines 3/4 of the time.
I'm kinda enjoying this playing with another person thing, when I slow down and make the time to do it!

It's even better live, we should do it sometime.

Last round played with andersnm who had an outstanding tourney, bravo mate. Unless polekatt/josia has a complete meltdown (don't you DARE!) I am bring up the rear for PC this week. -6 I still feel was a good week. Onward!

That's what USE is about, upping your game and showing everyone what you can really score when you put your mind to it. Every PC player and PS4 player I have played with are capable of some great golf it's all about consistency and stopping the silly mistakes. Little tip for next week Torrey Pines is a long tough US Open course, it's not about making birdies but making par and birdie is a bonus.

Preeeeaaaach! 👏 One of the things that is fundamental to me in golf Leon is sportsmanship. You will get the most from me in that respect on the golf course irl and I bring that to my cyber golf also. I did give rcknfrewld a bit more leeway than he deserved but I thought he might learn what sportsmanship is if we gave him a chance. Not the case as it turned out unfortunately . To me winning is nothing unless you do it in a fair way with respect for your fellow competitors. Every week is not about the winners but everyone's story in each competition for me.You can have that when you have a close knit society with twenty or so players. That small number want to hear how everyone else played, you can't have that when there is over 100 people playing every week. I love hearing about all our members stories of their rounds from top of the leaderboard to bottom and anyone who plays well can win the handicap competition. I have to say I am missing my real golf society, my 40 man Ryder Cup team competition was due to start next week. But what we have here is definitely the next best thing to a real life golf competition. Love that the top players share their stories and last weeks play off is what I love about this society and it's sportsmanship. We have a fantastic group of members here that I appreciate the challenge playing against each week.

But your aims were admirable. Our society is set up in a way that people like that can take advantage of it; but then, at the same time, we don't want to change our ways. So every now and again we have to deal with some drama. It is what it is. Love your comment above. Agree with every word 👍

Went and got myself a steering wheel for the new XB1X. Haven’t spent a cent on myself in years but add to that a 4K TV and Ray has been on a lil splurge lol. No complaints from the missus, I’m spending money I got a few years ago that had been our cushion while she wasn’t working. She does ubereats deliveries and has been busy AF during the lockdown. Been keeping my distance and sleeping (like a baby) in a seperate room. Had been doing deliveries myself before all this but it’s too big a risk for me with my health issues.
So anyway, even with a steering wheel I’m shit lol. I used to be one of the guys iRacing would invite* to do events in V8’s around 2004 (?) and now I struggle to drive anything that goes faster than the speed limit. My TGC swing is all over the place. Even on Pro clubs I’m barely inside the cone now. Not sure if it’s the new controller or the new XB, but lines that were once straight-ish now seem to zig zag? I’m not sure how that’s even possible lol. Every game I play relies on motor skills, and mine seem to be deteriorating to the point I’m losing the enjoyment I once had..
I’d like to stick with Pro clubs. I’m mid way through R3 and even with the blinder I played in R1 I’m not going to be within 5 of the leaders when I finish, maybe 10. Can I please be excluded from the handicap leaderboard for the appropriate number of weeks so I don’t steal any wins from anyone.
Apologies if me using Pro clubs affects anyone else. I was pretty good at this game once, it sucks that I feel the need to do this, but I want this to be the one place I do feel motivated to play each week.
* The place I went in Brisbane and paid to use their simulators would have rep races, I’d be one of the guys picked sometimes.

Also - more than happy to cop the appropriate amount of flak for using old man clubs.

Fine by me mate. Sorry you're struggling. Hopefully just temporary.

Started third round 3 shots behind stoney and decided to play his ghost. Was -4 after 4 holes and wiped away his lead already! He then immediately hits an albatross! 😂👏 Played really poor from there (honestly don't think his albatross threw me off!) Just pars all the way till near the end.
Played solid again 4th round. But had way too much ground to make up. If I'd carried on the momentum in round 3, I could've challenged, and annoyingly missed 3rd place (on PS4) by a stroke, but good tournament.
Really enjoyed the course. Rounds 3 and 4 more so. It's an "easy" course which nevertheless doesn't just give up the birdies to you. And I didn't have the issues with greens that a few others had. Agree with what someone else said, it's a relaxing course. I prefer the ones where you have to plan the route and think about strategy, but nice to mix it up. Think this one divided people, but the Canadian Open isn't there next/this season anyway! So we won't need to have the debate 😉
Off to finish Augusta and test Torrey pines for conditions setting.
