Round 2 was still struggling to see the breaks on the greens so decided to go straight at the hole and what do you know they were nearly all straight putts! 😂😂 Hit some amazing approach shots to give myself some tap-in birds and eagles as well. Very happy with my score

Really struggling with the swing at the moment and pushing a lot of my approach shots and drives, bit like real life ironically. Seem to have this horrible tick to a lot of my approaches which results in a huge push shot. Round 1 an ejoyable round with polekatt/josia who started so well, just let it slip a bit but played some great golf at times.Out played me tee to green. played the last 3 rounds solo bit better tee to green but way too many pushed to the right. Loved the 11th tee you have to pull off a very fast downswing for the big draw as I did in round 3, hit a fast in round 4 to be buried in the bunker on the right but still hit an approach to 11 foot with my 2 iron and made the bird

Since hammers1man played with me on Round 1 and we ended with the same score, they put us together as a pair in round 2.
Paul, this time I managed to leave the foot on the gas pedal, my friend.
It slipped on hole 14, where I missed a 7ft birdie, then missed the 3ft par on the way back.
But all was made right with hole 17- In my nervousness to get a good score, I hit the ball very slow, and it pushed way right, and ended up on some other fairway.
I hit the 3 wood, blindly, just hoping to land it somewhere close for a decent third shot. I heard cheers, and imagine my surprise when I walked up and saw the ball only a few feet from the hole!
I hope I'm trending toward finally competing with you guys.

R1 great ball striking, I could call up the f/p, f/f at will. Struggle getting anything slow though but not an issue. Putting was killer. I had a 3-putt double from like 6ft and could only muster -4. R2 I figured out the putting but was further from the hole on average but got to -7. Half way -11 and I will finish later this week.

Honestly guys, I paired up with hammers1man and polekatt/josia before reading the thread. Otherwise I would probably had been intimidated by seeing what the did in the latter rounds. Was a great round, needed a few miracle shots to come out ahead of these two in this round. One I have here, the other was my last shot of the round and wish I could grab a replay of it. My drive on 18 found the light rough. Caught a flyer on my approach and was over the back on what looked like a perpendicular grass wall. Chipped it off that wall, onto the green then rolled into the cup for a closing chirp! Here is the shot on 6, coming off my worst tee shot of the round:

I’m playing pro clubs for the week. New controller with the new console that seems super sensitive and I don’t want to keep DNF’ing like I have been of late. I still feel like I won’t compete with the PS scores.
I appreciate some people may not like it but they can just ignore my scores if they like, I’m feeling a bit fragile and just want to enjoy my rounds. New console looks awesome on the 4K TV. It’s as superb to look at as it is on PC with high settings. Did have to change some TV settings to get it working properly but all systems go for now.
Hope no one really minds, it’s supposed to be fun and that’s what I’m chasing.

Ok maybe I will compete with PS scores. -10 first round. Going to continue with Pro for the event, if I win or contend I’ll look at moving back to Masters next week. My swing isn’t as straight as it was previously, but putts are so much easier to read now. Had a couple off tempo, but only a couple.
Holed literally everything, including a 13m snake on the first par 5 for eagle. Really enjoyed it which is what I was chasing.
Huzzah!!!!
*Also - I maintain I still have a disadvantage to PS. I now have equal tempo, but less spin and distance. I think it’s a better compromise for XB folk than choosing equal distance and harder tempo. You can deal with being shorter easier than not knowing either the distance or the line you’ll be hitting on.

You can deal with being shorter easier than not knowing either the distance or the line you’ll be hitting on. There are no rules in place prohibiting Pro Clubs Ray, I don't have a problem if people use them, but I have tested them out on PC (see below). I will be playing Leon's extra tournaments on PS4 so will be giving feedback on the differences between PS4 and PC in the coming weeks. I played with round 1 settings on PC with Pro Clubs to see the comparison with Master Clubs on PC. Now my tempo is pretty solid with Masters so I didn't really feel the difference there . Now where the difficulty gulf is at is the Pro's are just way too forgiving in the long game, even off line shots were going straight at the pin. I didn't strike the ball any better than my round 1 score of 71 but managed a 61 with Pro Clubs. The short game is where the tempo difference really comes into play between the 2 different clubs, the pitch shot is by far my weakest shot normally but was my strongest this round, it's much easier to hit straight and get the tempo right. Also if you don't hit straight it is also very forgiving as is the flop shot. Putting is also much easier, I actually didn't push or pull a single putt. I am only speaking for PC here but Pro's are a lot easier to use in my testing, the only way they would even out would be in courses longer than 7400 yards I feel. Pro Clubs practice round with Canadian Open round 1 settings
