Ok maybe I will compete with PS scores. -10 first round. Going to continue with Pro for the event, if I win or contend I’ll look at moving back to Masters next week. My swing isn’t as straight as it was previously, but putts are so much easier to read now. Had a couple off tempo, but only a couple. Holed literally everything, including a 13m snake on the first par 5 for eagle. Really enjoyed it which is what I was chasing. Huzzah!!!! *Also - I maintain I still have a disadvantage to PS. I now have equal tempo, but less spin and distance. I think it’s a better compromise for XB folk than choosing equal distance and harder tempo. You can deal with being shorter easier than not knowing either the distance or the line you’ll be hitting on. There are no rules in place prohibiting Pro Clubs Ray, I don't have a problem if people use them, but I have tested them out on PC (see below). I will be playing Leon's extra tournaments on PS4 so will be giving feedback on the differences between PS4 and PC in the coming weeks. I played with round 1 settings on PC with Pro Clubs to see the comparison with Master Clubs on PC. Now my tempo is pretty solid with Masters so I didn't really feel the difference there . Now where the difficulty gulf is at is the Pro's are just way too forgiving in the long game, even off line shots were going straight at the pin. I didn't strike the ball any better than my round 1 score of 71 but managed a 61 with Pro Clubs. The short game is where the tempo difference really comes into play between the 2 different clubs, the pitch shot is by far my weakest shot normally but was my strongest this round, it's much easier to hit straight and get the tempo right. Also if you don't hit straight it is also very forgiving as is the flop shot. Putting is also much easier, I actually didn't push or pull a single putt. I am only speaking for PC here but Pro's are a lot easier to use in my testing, the only way they would even out would be in courses longer than 7400 yards I feel. Pro Clubs practice round with Canadian Open round 1 settings Please, play the whole event. I’ve always thought the main tour should go to Pro so it’s equal across the platforms like it once was. Would help if someone could play on PS to see what kind of score is possible there with Pro. Just for interests sake. Edit - as seen on my streams, a straight swing isn’t my issue, so the differences for with accuracy aren’t an issue for me, the tempo is the main difference for me.

Solid but not spectacular. Prob only 1 or 2 bogies. Had a couple of good runs going at end of Rd 2 and mid Rd 4 but as gavlaar124 suggested, the curse of the straight putt struck several times. I read his earlier comment but most of the times could see a slight break one way or another.....STOOPID!!! Anyway, a few straight putts did go in but not enough. -6, -8, -6, -6 for a -26 total. Cheers and good luck to those still to tee off.

I have no experience of playing Tgc on Xbox so can only comment as a PS4 player regarding the issue of pro clubs. The reason I play USE & TST is to at least create some sort of challenge to this game. I don’t play any aids on society’s at all.USE is obviously about as difficult as we can make this game & yet it is still way too easy.I long for a golf sim which creates realistic scoring where 65 would be regarded as a great score & shooting around par would be a challenge. I am probably very much in the minority with this way of thinking but am a golf enthusiast not a gamer. I have never actually tried pro clubs but would assume it is something akin to playing tgc1 which I hated, stuck to sim mode on TW 14.With regards to the use of pro clubs within USE I have no problem with that if that creates the challenge that particular player is after.Anyway maybe I should purchase a Xbox if it creates more of a challenge. This is not a dig at anyone, just my thoughts.Enjoy the game as you will, cheers all 🍻

Finished pretty good with a -7,-5. Couldn’t get the f/f when I needed it so a few more chips but at least a made a couple. Hole 17 in R4 I was lucky to walk away with par after 3 putting when I though it was an easy eagle. Fun course, I prefer these relaxing tracks!

Was pretty drunk by the time I quit out of the game. I think I’m around -4 for the round thru 10 or 12 in R2?
I’m going to play out the event with Pro because I’ve always wanted to do a full event here with them. The -10 first round was a great putting round, but even with that I don’t want to be shooting around 60 so the experiment will be a one and done thing I think.

Played one round, and feel VERY lucky to have got a -5. I'm really struggling with my game right now, so I'm leaving it there; and definitely not playing any Augusta rounds!
Was -1, with 13 pars, after hole 14. approach and 2 putt every time. Got an eagle on the final par 5 and birdied the last (as well as one other obviously.)
I've got that feeling back where it's like the game is trolling me. 15yds short on one approach, adjust, 15yds past on the next. Same with putting. Tempo issues crept in a bit too. I have this weird thing also where sometimes a fast only pulls it slightly, and i even start bringing in VF to move the ball, then suddenly a fast pulls HARD like a VF.
Also, that talk about momentum programmed into the game has got into my head a bit. I think it might be true. Or maybe it's confirmation bias. Definitely FEELS true at the moment. Slow putts horseshoeing on me instead of dropping eg.
Obviously every hole and putt is different, and the game isn't trolling me, but when you make the adjustments each time, and you're that far off, that's how it feels.
I've made cuts on euro recently, including (hopefully) this week, I'm doing ok in my other societies, but way too inconsistent, not even close to contending. Ah well...

First round done. To be honest, I am not a huge fan of this course. Many unrealistic slopes on this recreation. But I play well these days - 100% fairways, 89% GIR on this round. Still miss too many medium short putts on the 8-15 feet mark - but overall solid play. Eagle on the 11th was the highlight.

Second round: Starting to really not like this course. The greens are horrible sculpted. Bumps here and there just for the sake of it. Started off bad with a bogey and a three putt, but pretty solid after that. Still 100% fairways, only 72% GIR this round though (misjudged some approaches on distance). Chip in eagle on the 17th was nice though

Geez andersnm if you are -12 through 36 holes on a course you don't like... Round 2 and I lost focus while taking a proper beatdown by hammers1man. Well played Paul.

Well, where did that come from?? -9 second round. Was -8 after 13, hit a double bogie on 14, then still made three more birdies.
Still don't feel like I'm playing great 😂 well, not in control anyway. Just made some putts.
I'm off to Augusta! There will never be a better time! (Expect a heavy fall back to earth coming up...)

Yeah, I know, it's not really about "winning" shot of the week, I just wanted to do a mic drop and say something "cool." 😂
