And the award for most Jekyll & Hyde tournament goes to....
PADDY!!! with a superb turnaround from -21 after two rounds to -18 after four! I literally could not have lost my game any more than this, it’s disappeared!
On the bright side, I’m a few days away from publishing an absolute gem of a course so that can help ease my on course pain by putting the finishing touches to that.
For all those still playing, god speed!

Get good practice on rock work on this one

Get good practice on rock work on this one It certainly helps being on lockdown with no work, I’ve been doing 5 hours of it a day minimum, already clocked 150 or so hours on this course I’m doing currently over 2 years on and off, it’s been a labour of love for sure and hopefully it’ll come across like that when finished! How long do you have left on Antonio?

How long do you have left on Antonio? I have never been good at estimate on finish. Right now I am at the 12th on planting. Another hole with lots of rocks. After this, the 18th is going to take most time, and then I have left the hotel area that will require some time (I have done the hotel but not the area). But at the rate that I am doing it now, it is more like days rather than weeks. And, I would like to have some feeback from some that knows the course. I know some trees are too large - but that is a general problem in the designer imo.

Yes the tree height is often the thing that needs most tweaking during play testing, if there’s some YouTube videos that might help get a feel for it if there’s been a tournament there? I’ve got the 18th go which is a couple of hours and then I’ve got clubhouse area and background houses etc. In my head it feels like 2-3 days but who knows, I’ll be doing lots of tweaking to the final product I think though since I’m balls deep on this one!

Yes, there are tons of videos from the Valero Texas Open, but I use a flyover video for the most. Another thing I have left to do is the suburb area round the 15th and 17th. Well, the thing with tree height is that you don't always have the option to get the correct height. The question is often - use the best tree and a little too high, or use wrong tree type. I tend to go with the tree that looks best and get to live with a little too high as long as it isn't in play. If the tree is in play, I try to get the correct size. I think this is the course I have done fastest to date. I think I made the thread on TGC tours 3 days ago and on these 3 days I have cleaned the course, planted all tees and pins, planted the hotel, and hole 1-11. (Also some on the 12th, what is left on that hole is the rock work near the green bunkers).

For all those still playing, god speed! Hard lines paddy. Took me a few days to recover from my blowup at green eagle. Was playing like crap. I've got it back now, just in time to blowup this week in USE You've become one of my favourite designers, look forward to this new release!

West Hill is my favourite inland Heath course, it’s another par 69 that can’t be overpowered and has stood the test of time. Such tough greens so holds up scoring wise. I’ll gush about it soon when published, could talk about it all night. Hopefully you’ll all enjoy the course as much as I do when it’s done!

I'll whack it straight in USE extra next week if you finish it in the next few days. There's a few other full courses I want to try, so might do two normal courses next week, then back to par 3 again week after...
