Maxwell Plantation could also be called 'the course with the invisible burn'  as the little creek criss crossing the course was not really very visible even on the hole overlay. Some players will undoubtedly have noticed that little devil to late and found the water!  However, the course played great and WeltyBeast and Jrod shared first place with excellent 64's. WeltyBeast racked up his 10th TAN win to extend his lead on that score and Jrod picked up his third first place. Well played! Harveydog and Bova Kian locked up third place together with strong 68's.

The closing tournament of the start-up 2023 TAN season (summer) is coming to a close. Closing the season we see Hammers1man and A. Vandelay picking up up the win! For Hammers1man it was his third TAN crown and for A. Vandelay his very first! Congratulations gents and well played! Third place saw a packed podium trying to squeeze in everybody as Davildo, Demonondalinks, Mr Longpolex, Simchars and Skunky had to embrace each other in a big love fest just to remain standing LOL! Just 1 shot behind the winners and it would have been a first to see so many shared the first place, but in this case it didn't happen, probably to the relief of everybody!  Anyway, with the Plainfield tournament the TAN summer season comes to a close. The Fall/winter season will be shortly posted on all TAN platforms. Well played everybody and good luck in the follow-up season.

GENERAL NOTICE TAN FALL/WINTER 2023 SEASON

The TAN start up season for 2023 will be continued into the fall and winter leading up to the 2024 full schedule season which will start febuary 1st. Until then TAN will continue its scheduling with tournaments on a 3 day/1 round schedule including some 4 day/2 rounds tournaments along the way.

The specific TAN society handicapping will be in place and the new points reward system will become effective with the start of the TAN fall/winter season. All TAN handicapped players will immediately be included on the cross platform leaderboard and be rewarded points according to their net scores finishes in each tournament.

New players and players who have to yet qualify for a TAN handicap will be mentioned on the cross platform leaderboard but not awarded points until they have acquired their TAN handicap. The 2023 fall/winter season will kick off on monday september 25th. Winner of the TAN fall/winter season will the player who has won the most points in that season.

The new fall/winter season will be posted in the coming days on all TAN platforms.

For those admins (or others) who post the final TAN platform Xbox and Play Station leaderboards results please wait untill the tournament period is closed before posting as you might not have the complete players list. Please post the TAN platform results on the special scores thread. We try to get the Cross Platform leaderboard and the points allocation in place within 24 hours after the tournament period but this can only be so if the platform leaderboards results are posted within 24 hours.

TAN-56 at Lupo Golf Resort kicked off the TAN fall-winter schedule in a big way with the biggest field yet to tee it up on the elite level: no less then 35 players got into the mix to rumble in the desert! We greet FdParis as overall winner to take his very first TAN crown  with a convincing net 65 to cash in the first 1000 points on the leaderboard. Great playing and congratulations! Coming in second place was shared by Hammers1man and WeltyBeast, who carded no less great scores with net 66's. Also hearty congratulations gentlemen. Very good playing indeed. You can work it out by looking at the net score and then using the handicap on the left to add or subtract. If the handicap shows + take that number off the net score and add that number for - to get the scratch total. Pretty easy for myself as I am a 0 handicap so my scratch and net are the same. I do agree with you though as it's nice to have the scratch score up there also for quick easy reference.

TAN-57 at Alta Mira proved a stern test for most of the field. Only 9 players managed par or better and only 4 of those were able to break par . Again a strong field teed it up with 31 players giving it a shot. This time a commanding win was claimed by SimChars, who carded a fantastic net 63 to pick up his very first TAN crown and 1.000 points. Well done! Subtlebees (65) and Weltybeast (66) secured second and third place for themselves, collecting 850 and 750 points along the way. Its in the bag gents! Congratulations. On a side note: we include the gross scores (GS) on the CP leaderboard for those who want a quick look-see. We remind everybody that TAN is about net scores and now also about earned game points. The TAN crew landed at Sand Hollow, a beautiful desert course in Utah recreated (and updated) by Skunky. Big fairways are very driver friendly and invite the player to make the most of it. The back nine becomes trickier though when the course moves into the mountains. Again, a big field teed it up with 30 players having a go. A double winner podium this time with LowToeKnockDown carding a excellent net 65 picking up his first TAN crown and 1000 points, together with 'old campainer' Hendomedes who picked up his second TAN crown too! Congratulations gents. Third place on his own we greet another TAN player from the very beginnings with Roger, who carded a solid net 66 and picks up 750 points. Well played! On the season points leaderboard we are beginning to see some movement at the top where FdParis leads the field, closely followed by SimChars and Hendomedes! We will soon leave the desert sands for greener pastures, but will conclude our dustbowl swing with the first 2-round tournament at Redland Mesa. Double points to be earned gentlemen and all will be reshuffled again on the season points leaderboard. Good luck to all!
