TAN-81 at St Thomas Union in Ontario Canada proved to be a 'mixed pleasure' for the Elite players on TAN this week. An otherwise excellent course got some comments by players because of a slippery situation on the sloped 12th green, where the pin position caused major frustration and some unreasonable hits on the score cards resulting in some big dissapointments across the board ... The resulting scores proved that playing ones handicap was therefore near impossible. Except for one: Hendomedes! After a long abscence from the TAN tour he decided to give it go again on the Elite level and... picks up his 5th TAN Crown and the winners check of 1.000 points to win outright with a net 71 1 under par score! Very impressive indeed and congratulations Hendo!! Second place was shared by not only top-10 players on the season leaderboard, but by fate also all TAN-admins of all three TAN platforms : Colly45, Charles and Mr Longpolex brought it in at a net Level score for 850 points. Thats probably free drinks on the 19th gentlemen! Next on the roster is the 4th 2-rounder of the season at the great Trump parkland course @ Bedminster National GC, New Jersey, a wonderful design by another TAN admin: Skunky! Big bag of points awaits everybody to cash in for the season leaderboard! So... Have at it!

Trump Bedminster Old proved a real stern test for the Elite players on TAN as no one was able to get it net under par! Save 1: Puffypops! who was able to pick up his very first TAN Crown and a BIG winners check of 2.000 points, moving him up to 11th place on the season leaderboard! Excellent playing and congratulations Puffy! Tuffguts moved it into second place picking up 1.700 points and third place is shared by DonkeyPuncherBen and BigJawJugrNaut earning 1.500 points. Tough playing gents! This course does not look real menacing, but somehow somewhere it can take you for a ride and you end up in places you really do not want to be , especially when playing from the back tees, Trump Bedminster becomes a monster. On the season leaderboard Weltybeast remains supreme with 15.150 points with 7 players in the hunt already in the '10.000 club' to try to climb even higher. Behind them another group of players are making moves too so still lots to play for in the remaining tournaments!

We post the first leaderboards result in the new format using the new google live-leaderboard system. These leaderboards will be posted on the new TAN thread on TGC-tours in which all TAN related matters will be posted for the 2024 season onward. More to follow on that shortly. For now, congratulations to RD-Rooster and Skunky for a shared win on beautiful Bramley Manor! Both players take their second TAN crown and 1.000 points to the bank! Well done! Hendomedes and InfamousEddieC share third place and 750 points. Congrats gents! A new scratch leaderboard is also in the works. We are busy working out the further details.

Nice watch ⌚️ Paul, you held it together after the 13th , battling away . The 13th with that water there I might of been tempted to take a unplayable and gone back to the tee . 👍

GENERAL NOTICE:

Starting with TAN # 83 @ Bramley Manor, we will not be posting any new TAN related matters on the USE forum anymore and move over to the newly created main TAN thread on the TGCtours societies section: tgctours.proboards.com/thread/34587/legend-level-scratch-handicapped-season

The purpose of all this is to centralize all TAN related matter and by the same token try to get more attention and traction for TAN. As the new season in 2024 will have two tournaments running side by side, using the same schedule and courses but differentiate on the scratch and handicapped scores, this should attract more players who like to play without handicaps. Even so, all players are allegeable and will participate in both tournaments (as soon as they have completed the 4 qualifying rounds to obtain a TAN handicap). 

The new TAN thread on TGCtours will be the only place to exchange information, post scorecards, video's, links etc by members and visitors and the place where all leaderboards will be put up.
