TAN-59

The first 2-round tournament in TAN is a wrap. Robust field again, with 29 players teeing it up, including some new 'arrivals' who are joining the handicapped field and one new player in Fiercephil. Welcome all! Some excellent scoring was unleashed upon Redland Mesa, a very ondulated desert course where BIG hitting could result in many scoring chances if all parts of your game were on point. Some players made the most of it, as lots of double points were up for grabs. Coming on top in a spectacular way to pick up his first TAN crown is Soloryder, who totally crushed it with a stellar second round, bringing it in with a total net 16 under par 128, bagging 2000 points and keeping PakaLoLo and Hendomedes, who also carded excellent scores, in second and third place. It seems that Soloryder made some major adjustments in his game resulting in his super-surge to the top of the TAN mountain. Many congratulations and we will be monitoring your progress! Also congrats to Hendomedes for taking over overall first place on the season leaderboard. Some big moves on the board after this tournament. Very good playing overall as we are taking our leave from the desert sands to more greener links!

The TAN train is rolling on nicely with excellent results by a strong and steady field of players who are obviously enjoying the challenge. The TAN handicapping is starting to consolidate to hard numbers balancing out the competition to give a ever growing amount of players a shot at the top. So much is also reflected in the overall season points leaderboard where many players are starting to make moves up and down the board, broadening the amount of challengers for a top spot. After every top-3 finish in a TAN tournament this can result in major changes in season standings.

After TAN 60 @ Ballybunion we greet yet another first time winner in Loco, who carded a convincing net 67 to pick up 1000 points. Well played and congratulations! A pack of players came in right behind to share second place: Chris74Jones, InfamousEddieC, Mr Longpolex and ZuperAwesomeDad all scored a net 68 to each pick up 850 points. Gritty playing gentlemen! Ballybunion is no pushover by any means and playing ones handicap (or better) on this course is no small feat.

Handicaps have been updated after TAN 60 so make sure you check this out. As always, all players many thanks for teeing it up in TAN and continue the challenge in a ever more balanced field where all players have a shot at the top!

TAN 61 @ Old Head Ireland gave the season leaderboard a big shuffle and many players were able to pick up some big points to make some moves. After TAN 63 some reshuffeling again on the season leaderboard with Chris74Jones moving in the top 10 group! Also LowToeKnockdown moving to nr 12 and Colly45 in 14th place. SimChars increased his lead and remains top TAN-man at nr 1. Check all standings on the board.

Wadden Sea, a beautiful creation by TAN member Dr Golfdesign, produced a shared first place for first time winner Chris74Jones!  , who carded a truly sensational net 63 together with Colly45!  , who picks up his third TAN crown to receive the winners purse of 1000 points. Very Impressive scoring gentlemen! Right behind the winners at third place on his own was LowToeKnockdown with a net 64 for 750 points. The 64th TAN tournament was held on a beautiful rendition by Artic Fury, a seaside course called Ayers Point, which he updated for 2K23. A fine course with danger lurking if one deviated to much from the safe line LOL!  As winner we greet an old TAN-campaigner in Hendomedes who came in with a fabulous net 64 to pick the winners purse of 1000 points to close in on season leader SimChars! Congrats on a great round! Coming in at second place -and also making a move on the season leaderboard- is Harveydog , carding a excellent 65. For third place we see WinterOx with a strong 67 closing off the podium. Well played gents! 

On the season leaderboard SimChars remains supreme  at number 1 but some major movers are creeping up the ladder in Harveydog, Chris74Jones and Loco. Also DonkeyPuncherBen and Tuffguts made some big jumps further down the board! Keep at it guys. We will shortly be playing our second double round (TAN 66) and that means double points to be earned! As mentioned, Hendomedes is putting the pedal to the metal to take back to back victories and bagging 1000 points again!! With a net 67 he succesfully stayed on top of the field to bring it home and is now making a serious challenge to take over first place overall. Great playing indeed and congratulations! On second place a trio of players posted a strong net 68 to pick up 850 points plus moving up the ladder on the season leaderboard: Mr Longpolex, Charles and Jrod stayed the course and finished in good form. It was a big points bonanza for the players who decided to give it go on the difficult Viken Golf Links. But it was definitely worth it as it was double fun on the points reward table! Players made the most of it and winner with 2.000 points was Soloryder who not only picked up his second TAN crown but also the second 'special' tournament for this season! So he made the most of it bagging two 'specials' (2 round tournaments) With a winning score of 134 net he came in 6 under par to win outright. Great playing and congratulations!! TAN landed in Holland on a beautiful sea-side creation by TAN member Dr Golfdesign to play in traditional windy conditions. Not an easy course by default, with a strong course rating, it became a true test when the wind is in play . This time, two TAN 'Big Guns' decided to take matters into their own hands and claim first place: Demonondalinks! managed to bring it down to a net 68 2 under par to claim his 7th! TAN crown, together with none other than WeltyBeast!, who as the TAN crown record holder went on to pick up his ...11th TAN win! The only two players who managed to break their net par. Fantastic finish gents and congratulations. And 1000 points on the board. Third place was a crowded affair, with Palutena, SimChars, BKS Games and Noworries sharing the spot and each bagging 750 points on the leaderboard carding a net 70 even par. Well done! In the meantime SimChars keeps the fire going to lead the season leaderboard.
