Looks like the scrambling game has been overhauled. No splash outside of bunker anymore, LW chip now travels 25 yards so partial chipping is a real thing now. Hopefully it plays ok on mouse but short game much more focused on sim and short siding yourself is a real threat now.
Not sure to make of the attributes, not impressed by the boosts.

Video by CrazyCanuck1985. He got a chance to play the game early. I'm not sure what to think. It sounds like PGA Tour is taking a turn in the Arcadie/Gimmicky direction. I hope that we will have options to turn off features to keep the game more sim.

Another good video about the scrambling game. Seems like pro swing could be too easy, he played it on PC with an Xbox controller for the first time and still hit -8. He normally plays Playstation though with grids on I assume.

I still love playing the current game with our USE settings & would be quite happy with just those tweaks to the chipping & splash.Hopefully they have left the rest of the gameplay much the same. Let’s also hope the designers manage to port over all their superb creations,especially Yeltzmans links courses 😉

Bunker play sounds like it is more challenging which is good because was something else that needed tweaking. Also hopefully it is harder to hit long irons out of heavy rough ie 2 and 3 irons If you have a good enough lie in the rough to hit a 3 iron you wouldn't be losing so much yardage anyway. Poor lies in fairway rough you should be forced to hit more lofted irons. Hopefully driver is a little more challenging to hit off the deck also.Also wouldn't it be nice if your shot straight into the middle of a gorse bush the game told you you have an unplayable lie. |

colly , hammers1man and any others that want to provide their feedback. So I'm curious on which edition of 2k23 you are planning to get? Are going to pre-order it or wait for other's to try it out first? I saw some comments that if you want Tiger Woods you have to pre-order the game. Tiger may not be available as DLC later. I like to play career mode so playing against Tiger would be fun. The only problem is that the Tiger Woods edition will be $119.00 USD which is absolutley ridiculous for a video game. Do I wait until Black Friday and see if the price comes down? Will I still be able to get the pre-order packages if I wait? It looks like they have added Cobra and Nike clubs to the game. I don't see any PXG clubs though. I'm also still unsure if the new gimmics/attributes are going to replace Beginner, Pro, Master and Legend swings. It also looks like you can earn more VC and power up your clubs, I will post the video below. This just seems way to Arcade to me. I can only hope that a lot of these can be turned off in society play. If not, then someone that plays a ton or buys the attributes will be playing much better than others. There just isn't enough information out there yet to determine what actual game play will be. I still see no mention of Augusta in the list of courses. You would think since 2k has PGA licensing that it would be included. I also saw they will have all 4 majors in career mode. But they may not be the actual courses or sponsers. I also haven't seen if there will be 4k HDR graphics for the PS5, XBOX X and PC. This would be a lot of money to not have the current gen graphics available. Maybe this is why they are pushing the pre-order so hard. They are afraid once people find out what the game doesn't include they may wait for the EA game to release? For those that are interested. I think 4K 60fps is hard for PS5 even the Series X but framerate is always more important than resolution, at 4K I can drop to about 78 fps on some courses with an RTX 3080ti on 2K 21, I have to say this game looks quite a bit better with Windows 11 auto HDR though you can't stream on Twitch with HDR but hopefully there is a HDR setting in the new game. Tiger WILL be in the game on all versions though I don't think you can play against an ai Tiger or any other pro in career mode just a leaderboard version . The extra money you pay for deluxe and Tiger versions of the game is for apparel, clubs, virtual currency etc. You can play as pros but only in match ups and offline modes. I can't see the extra £40 and £55 being worth it to me when the base game is only £50 on Steam, I think it is a complete rip off frankly, we don't even get the early access on PC. I don't like progression attributes and I don't want to play hours on career mode just to level up my avatar to a realisticpro level. It is more arcade than sports sim. The badge boost shot should be able to be locked off hopefully as that is as arcade as it gets. Regarding Augusta, EA have won that licensing though we have some good RCR's of Augusta. I won't be buying the Playstation version this year. Good news for multi platform Craig and Longpole are on board for Xbox, it's nice that we won't have to police splash anymore but hopefully we can lock off haptic feedback as it is a huge aid for partial shots but luckily marker off makes it more difficult to use. |

This is fine if you have hdmi 2.1 VRR enabled as your refresh rate and FPS sync but when using vsync dropping below 60 FPS will result in inconsistent framerate. Vsync also causes input lag. We have some great upscaling technology now with DLSS and FSR 2.0 both very good at upscaling 1080p and 1440p to 4K. As FSR is AMD you will see it implemented in upcoming console releases. Not quite up there with DLSS but it is very impressive in the game I have test it on. I think you will see future games on PS5 maintain that 60+ FPS requirement for smooth gameplay with upscaling. Native 4K is very demanding especially in newer games. HDMI 2.1 is getting much more popular now with TVs and monitors now. My old monitor had it and my new LG OLED does also so I use GSync on my graphic card with HDMI 2.1. |

Also the Tiger edition is extra for his clothes,clubs balls etc. You can play as Tiger in all versions of the game.
