Yup been playing for a week so have lots of fittings but I’m leaving nearly every flop and splash a few yards in front of me and partial pitches similar. Tempo fine on all other shots, seems to duff on grey slows and fasts so similar misses as I get with long clubs but the penalty is much more severe Just been playing the practice green trying to get use to the DS5, I need to have the thumbstick just right to feel good in repeating tempo. Splash shots are very unforgiving for off tempo, but I love that flop shots are much more unforgiving than pitch. The best place to get used to get use to the shot is chipping green but there is definately a different tempo to those 2 shots. I think pitch shots are mor suited to 30 yards plus now.

It’s the steep high faced bunkers that are the real issue, some you can get out of with a splash unless you play full swing and go 40ft past deliberately, the flop no good in this position either as very hard to hit it 10 yards with good tempo. Chip seems the most reliable in this situation currently or pitch if longer as gets more height than splash. For the time being just don’t get short sided I’ve learnt!

Also, been playing test events for TGCT;
CC - was very easy on Pro, shot -35 with two really iffy 9 hole stretches thrown in, leaders are -45 or better.
Elite - was a bit scrappy on Masters for a -12 total over 4 rounds, was a reasonably straight forward course though
Platinum - currently +2 through one round on Legend, was a great challenge and not unfair, struggled more on greens than with long game, slightly squiffy putting strokes don’t go in like they do on Masters.
TST - had to pause +4 through 6 holes as had lost my tempo completely and wasn’t respecting the green speed!
My thoughts from trialling these is that the main USE tour should be masters but I’d love to see a legend part of our society.
Was thinking it might be nice to trial links land on legend as they are typically older shorter courses (bar a few toughies!, looking at you Troon!)
What’s everyone’s views on that or something similar?

I think we should start on master also, if the scores get really low we can always bump it up to legend. It is a bit of a grind at career but unfortunately that's the way to up your stats.

I agree, I think we should kick off on Master level.
