Loft box is the biggest assist in the game, end of... I would say green grids but loft box is a close second. I honestly think it's very close. Lack of green grids can be adjusted to easier, in my opinion. If you're between clubs in USE, there's not much you can do. Well, there is, but it's far from perfect. Anyway, yeah, you're probably right, but they're both HUGE aids, the ones that count...

There are options when in between clubs, as I said practice those 95% shots 😉. I hit a 95% 200yard plus iron to dead on hole high in round 4.You can also try a fast downswing. The further your putt is away the larger the increase in difficulty without those hidious ugly grids. 2020 and golf games still use vector graphics green grids 😅

Round 3 just couldn't get going up and down round where I made the most of the par 5's Round 4 a pleasant round with new member z3nz, really got my game going in tough conditions from hole 14, just missed a 10 foot birdie putt to finish with 5 birdies. Just jumped ahead of quite a few of my rivals with that strong finish, loved playing the course as much as I did watching Europe smash USA on it last year.

Loft box is the biggest assist in the game, end of... I would say green grids but loft box is a close second. And I would argue that the stupid scout cam is also overpowered - so you are able to a: aim exact with total precision, b: dial in the distance with the loft box and c: see the exact break on the green. That is not golf in my book. That is just arcade (at least HB doesn't have power boost or steering the ball mid air etc).

I've been trying the 90 and 95% shots! From doing so many partial swings on chips and flops, I've been able to learn where 95 is. 95 takes off WAY more than you'd expect though. I'm not finding it at all reliable so far. I've always used fast downswing, that's my go to for a bit of length manipulation...

I think the one thing that would make USE even better....making Masters clubs mandatory. As it stands now, it's Xbox vs. PC vs. PS4, then masters vs. Pro.

Who actually uses Pro clubs here? I still do for TST rounds, but here I use Masters.

Who actually uses Pro clubs here? I still do for TST rounds, but here I use Masters. I have thought really hard about the pro club debate. While I do encourage every member to try master clubs, I am not going to shun members that want to try USE and really struggle with master clubs. If you really struggle with the game and want to get the experience but find master clubs too difficult then I don't have a problem. Now if you're scoring under par each round then it is time to step to masters. Remember this is all about the experience not about just winning. It's nice to hear about everyone's experiences and hear them play above themselves, this is a friendly society with a bit of competition not some ultra competitive league.

Playing USE settings with pro clubs is still WAY more realistic than tgct tours with masters...

Late last year I dusted off the Pro clubs in a TST tourney on a very short layout. Shot about -60 and thought mmmmm….think I'll put them back in the shed....and I haven't seen them since. Next job is to try and master the master clubs, which I am yet to do but I do like the extra distance on the demanding courses. Pro clubs can be left wanting on a 500yd Par 4 into a stiff breeze. Cheers

The only reason I use Pro for TST is that at least I know I’m playing the same game as people using Pro on PS and PC. If the tempo was the same on all 3 platforms (like it is on XB so it’s actually an effort to get a perfect) we’d have a great game, but sadly it just isn’t. I choose a lack of distance over random tempo which affects accuracy. If everyone was forced to play using Pro clubs we’d see an equal distribution between the platforms on each tour rather than seeing the PGA as a mainly PS tour. Once upon a time the 50 best players on each platform were pretty much all in the top 150 - 200, right now 50th best XB guy would be around 500 in WGR while the PS guy is probably around 60.
The tours could be as good as they were once if everyone would simply recognise that Pro clubs ARE a level playing field.
I didn’t think anyone used Pro in here, I was asking just to find out who. Not looking to rock the boat here either - this is the only place I enjoy Masters.
