I just had a pressure filled Round 4 at Albatross! I played a practice round last night with Leon's Ghost in R4 conditions and I played horribly. I ended +7 for the round to Leon's Even par. I was glad it was a practice round lol. Today while playing with jeff (who had a great final round btw) I was just trying to make pars. It was very hard to make birdies in these conditions. I made 3 birdies and 3 bogeys. I plowed through to the 18th tee. Standing on the 18th tee at (-6) I promptly put my drive into the water. I dropped and hit my 3rd shot to 10 ft. I missed my par putt but tapped in for Bogey. I finished the round at Even par and (-5) for the tournament. I was able to hold off Leon by 1 shot! That was a lot of pressure and I'm heading to the bar for several single malts!
I knew my even par wouldn't quite make it! Did I have it at -6 at one point as well? Pretty sure I did. Well played Wade, good battle
LKeet6 Thanks Leon! I think you got me last week by a stroke. We are having some really good battles! Edit: LKeet6 - I'm pretty sure you had it at -6 as well.

-6 is where it’s at this week 👌🏻
Looks like quite a few of us with similar scores each week - this place is coming along nicely 👍

Hey guys, what is this "sight line" thing y'all are talking about with the putter off the tee? Lol. Hey just a heads up, since I replied before to say how to do it, I just learned this might be against the rules in TST lol. Seems pretty silly given that they allow non turn based ghost balls in that, which I’ve never used but it would seem like that would give way more info than a putter cam?!? Weird. It sounds like we are good with it here though, from what I can tell. Couldn’t catch you again this week, -23 for me! On the bright side though I got a ton of work in on my flops lol. Really felt like I struggled with GIR, but did well at saving par. My bogeys I think came from bad chips. Still seem to leave a lot of those short. Narrowly missed water multiple times, a few of which I didn’t even realize water was there lol. Just don’t pay enough attention to the map sometimes.

I always look for your results first It's harder to follow you live, round by round though, which is a shame...

I just thought of using the different view of the golfer to help with sight lines. I push my thumbstick down 3 times and it gives me an elevated view. Not as high as using the putter method but high enough to get a sight line. It is also a faster method than using the putter cam view.

Yes, there are some odd things that I don't understand with TST. Why do they have the putting marker? And then they claim they can't have rules that can't be enforced, and still you have a rule like this that is honored based. Chipping on green is not allowed, but flop is fine?

First I've heard about TST prohibiting elevating putting camera off the tee. Why would you need to anyway over there with ghost balls(non turn based) and ball labels allowed. You have an on screen target with ball labels of your opponents ball which will always play out of turn. Fadgewhacker's argument is they can't police ghost balls/labels, well how do they police people using putting camera then for approach shots and on the tee. Miss the good old days when it was RGT and the admins cared about the sim experience, well I don't really as the first game was pretty rubbish and what we have here is as good a golf sim as I've played with a great community

I have not calculated average, but I would say 70%. On the real PGA tour, Jim Furyk is best at 80,8% and tour average is 61%. This is damn close as we are not that many players. GIR: best 78,9% average ca 64% (you and me). PGA tour real life: Jim Furyk again with 81,1% and tour average of 68,2%. Scrambling: Best is unclevirt with an incredible 85%, but the rest of us mortals are 34%-66% Best on PGA tour real life: 71%, tour average 59%.
I will say - this is as close to real life you can get with the limitations the game gives us. This is the real sim tour.

I do this a lot on flop shots...but I’ve never once tried it from the tee. Good idea! Going to try it out.

I admitted to driving 10 yards because I thought I was playing TST and tried to use the putter cam....except I had the driver out and accidentally shot lol (How I mange to do something so ridiculously stupid is beyond me 😂)In a reply I was told that in TST you actually aren’t allowed to use putter cam unless within 50 yards of the hole. News to me! I checked the rule thread over there, and only found a single mention where it lists the settings of what’s turned on and turned off - Approach & Putting Cameras (to read greens and inside 50 yards): On THATS IT. Nobody would even notice that. How the hell do you have an honor system rule with so many players, and not at least put in large bold font YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO USE THE PUTTER CAM UNLESS YOU ARE 50 YARDS AWAY. Pretty silly. Tons of people probably break that rule because they have no clue it even exists. No way can that or any honor rulebe enforced anyway like you said. It’s different here with a smaller group that trusts each other.

Now there is the problem in a so called competitive tour, ghost balls/labels are totally OK but elevating the camera to get a better view is frowned upon 🤔. I know for a fact when TST first started it was 1 ghost ball(non turn based) allowed not no ghost balls(non turn based) allowed and I have no idea who changed that rule and I was an admin there then. It is like they're forcing people to use arcade aids to compete. Like I said TST continues to lose it's sim soul.

I'm sorry but It's just not True Sim if they are using Assists. No matter how you slice it.
