played my approach shot to the green before realising, so it should be a penalty, I finished about 30ft from the pin so it did'nt really help lol. It's switched off now, so I will not make that mistake again.... As always, appreciate and admire the honesty. love this society. My feeling is the penalty is on the "harsh" side but, in the interests on maintaining the highest standards of fair play, I agree with you, it probably "should" be applied. Happy for any of the other admin to weigh in though...

If Sam doesn't think the camera influenced his read, then there doesn't really need to be a penalty.

All opinions welcome I agree with you, but also feel, like I said, for the "integrity" of the society, and especially given the player himself assessed himself a penalty, maybe that's the way to go. If we start "going easy" on penalty decisions, maybe people start not bothering being "strict" with themselves on rules? I trust everyone here, but as a "moral position," that can be argued... I don't have a strong opinion though. So if everyone feels it should be no penalty, I'd happily go with that

He did call the penalty on himself and I think that's part of the "culture" that this society is about. It's definitely important to not have a gray area when it comes to penalties so maybe enforcing it is the best way!

Started with a -2 including 2 eagles. Just too inconsistent. Struggled with the putter even on 144's which I like. Rd 2 was flat as a pancake with 10 pars and a bogey. Just couldn't get the greens right. Had a 20 footer for par in the middle of the round somewhere so a bit of luck on the greens finally.....then BANG! Had 6 birdies in a row from 12-17, incl a chip in from the front of the 17th green up one of those false front killer slopes. Finished -5 for a -7 total at the half way mark. Gonna struggle to get close to the leaders but we'll see what happens tomorrow. Liking the lack of foliage....no tempo problems when the graphics card isn't tested. Cheers Pardon my ignorance, but what is/are 144's?

Great sportsmanship from Sam 👏

I want to make sure I'm playing properly. I have follow cam turned off. I play with ghosts, but the box is ticked off, and ball labels off. Whether I'm on the tee, fairway or green, I never get a view from behind the golfer. I actually place my controller down while the other players in my foursome hit their shots.
Sounds about right?

I agree with imposing the penalty, don't want any special needs treatment LOL.. You have to enforce it otherwise people will start to think it's OK.
I will be going back to the Xbox in next weeks tourney, more comfortable using that system I know the buttons to press with out thinking too much..
I.E. uploading screenshots and videos etc
Good luck everyone this week..

I was a 5 foot putt from -5. Didn’t recover after just missing it and the one back. Could have been a distant contender! 🍷

I think you’re doing it right. That’s how I play when I have playing partners.
