Jumped straight into round 1 with just a range warm up, scrappy AF for a -1 first round but did the thing in rd2 for a round of -9 to sit -10 at the cut.
Enjoyed the course, bit Samey at times but the designer has done an excellent job and it was enjoyable to play

Steady opening round, hit plenty of GIR but never really close enough to make birdies.Enjoyed the course 😁

First round was bad - period. Only a 38 feet putt for birdie was a light in the complete darkness of this round. I actually hit a tree - and had 220 yards to a hole where I usualy would have a pitch (but amazingly hit the tree so the ball bounced back into fairway). I was in the forest a couple of times as well, and .. better to not dwell on the round.

Second round was better. Avoided the tree on the 17th this time - but hit far too right.. Avoided any big trouble, but got too few close approaches this round and struggled a bit with the putter. At least tied with mcbogga ..

Third round - and me and this course do not come to any friendship any time soon - a bumpy ride, with too many humps.. and a couple of double humps.

Fourth round was not so bad in the very high winds.. The double bogey was water on ball nr 1.

Been fighting that flare right/fade once again. But found some tempo and hit solid shots when I needed them. Especially on the 8th. Perfect drive and approach which lead to a close eagle putt. Changed up the strategy on the shorter par 4s. Leaving full wedges in and more importantly in the short stuff . Hit another green in two on 14 and just missed another eagle chance. Clean scorecard was also a bonus. -12 at the halfway mark. Tied with Tuffguts on the PC Leaderboard with Paddy just two strokes behind and some yet to get their rounds in.

Round 2 and I am minding my own business, following this epic back and forth duel between Tuffguts & @pakalolo77 , trying to keep my sight on them. But I snuck up on them with my finish, punctuated by this shot on the last:Pretty damn proud of this round: In very fine company: Onward!

Wow, artvandelay. I had to read it twice. And left handed too! Impressed again.

Round 2 was a story written by Stephen King. A drive down the middle on the first was a calming start to a par. But a slice that was not nice on the second got me in trouble. And now the Stephen King plot showed itself. Three trees suddenly became a huge forest, the fairways disappeared and the greens snapped at me. None of this did my playing partner andersnm notice, hitting good drives all the way. I offered Mr King my driver as a sacrifice and he seemed pleased as my score stopped adding double bogeys. And yes, a nice 8I to 4 ft got me an easy eagle. Hitting the driving range. See you later!

Round 1. A steady start to the tournament with an up and down end to the round. In Round 2 I caught fire in the middle of the round! Very happy with that.

Several low scores in Round 2 but mine wasn't one of them.
