Probably the best I've struck the ball in a long time for an entire round. Definitely gave myself chance after chance to close the gap to Paddy and Tuffguts. Great chance at eagle on the second. Left myself 11 feet up the hill, but put a bit too much pace on it and barely missed. About 3-4 chances were inches away on the front nine and a few more on the back. Got too aggressive with a chip on 14 as that was the only hiccup on the card. Highlights for this round was a 33 footer down the hill on the 4th and another 30 footer on the last for birdies. -9 heading into the Final Round.

Not bad. R3 my best so far this event. 5 shots better than others on PS4 so far in this round. Sank a 30-foot birdie putt on 18 to get to even par for the round.

Even par in R4 as well.
I holed out from the fairway on one of the front nine par 4’s. If I knew how to share the replay I would.
Still looking waaaay up at the field, but I will happily take back-to-back par rounds! 😀

rd 3 was comical, repeated my merion error by slow pitching into the middle of the drink on 4th hole for a treble bogey, fought back valiantly to be on the 18th tee at -2 for the day and -16 total, pushed my drive right into the trees, decided to hack a 3 iron through the trees to the fairway but somehow didn't hit any foliage and went into the drink next to the green, had to replay the same shot because of HB's inability to manage drops, made double bogey. Even par 72 with 5 birdies a treble and a double.
-14 heading into the final round

<in my best Darth Vader voice> “Impressive. Most impressive.” Thanks Jeff, just a shame about the 5 dropped shots in rd 3 and a couple of sillies in round 4 otherwise it could have been a really low number! I'd say the scores are gradually getting better although I can't see myself improving much from here but overall I'm seeing it getting easier for us

Indeed, Pat. The broken drop algorithm cost me at least 4 shots on 18 in R2.
As a group we are getting better. Some of us are just taking our sweet time about showing it. 😀

Isn't the water on the left of 18 yellow stakes irl at Sawgrass, so that would mean you can't just drop 2 club lengths right of entry. So if your approach lands in the water it is a rehit or backwards in line of the flag which is all lake. Or is there a drop zone like 17 irl.

All I know is that I had a choice on my second shot: rehit from the trees and the rough or drop back towards the tee right along the sea wall. I chose rehit once and sea wall once. Neither one worked out.

Speaking of the drop zone on 17, why isn’t it in the game? It’s well-known, well-defined and should be available. Especially on a licensed course that HB brag about. NB: the question is rhetorical. I don’t want to veer off-topic here.

I don’t want to veer off-topic here. That is because HB has not implemented drop zones in the game and the current drop rules in the game are not good. Water = OB in this game, most of the time. hammers1man: 18th is clearly marked with red stakes on pictures. The thing is however, that if your drive starts out left, it stays in water all the time, and the only real option is rehit.
