R1 - couldnt putt! Seriously. I missed I believe 3 putts within 5 feet...tough greens. Finished -2, was glad to see the leaderboard that it wasn’t just me, as I believe that was the best or tied for best.
R2- same story as rd1 as I was -1 on the front 9. However, things really came together as I tore up the back 9! Felt like I had figured out the greens some. Had an awful approach on 18 where I used the wrong club as I thought it was downhill 9 and not up, but it didn’t hurt as I still managed par. Wasn’t the first time ive made that mistake and won’t be the last lol. Finished -8
R3- Felt like I played pretty solid, really don’t remember anything in particular about this round though. Finished -6
R4- started out with 2 very early bogies! Considered stopping as my swings were terrible, but kept going. Got a flop eagle on the first par 5 to get me back to E. These were tough pins, being a little off on your putts was pretty punishing on some of these holes. Couldn’t get much going, but seemed like half my shots were in between clubs. Was able to hit most of my fasts and 95% attempts, but just too off target to convert into birdies. Finished -2.
-18 total. Still a few on PS4 that have rounds left, but I assume it’s good enough for at least top 3.
Heres the really good back 9 in round 2 I mentioned. Sorry for all the pre-shot partial backswings lol, I just can’t help it as it’s something I just have to do when I’m uncomfortable with my swing, or just nervous about a shot in general.

Round of the week once again, great shooting. (Bastard!!) Think you may sneak the W, haven’t seen anyone posting close to that. Tight leaderboard this week, With a round to go I could be top 5 or 15th, depending on how I go, which is a good way to head into R4 👍

Yeah I haven’t seen anything near my score looking at the posted screenshots, but I know Colly wasn’t far behind after 2, Stoney might have 2 rounds left also...not sure. Feel like I left the door open in the 4th, then again it seemed tough even with the lower wind so who knows. Be careful out there...a birdie putt can easily turn into a 10 footer for par lol

Round 3 was a foursome of polekatt/josia, andersnm and hammers1man. Possibly the best round of USE I have played in quite some time. Just missed a shorty on 18 (after a very poor approach) otherwise I was clean.

Before I put in my 4th round catch up I just want to say a few words. USE is a very niche society and I really appreciate the support from the top end to us mere mortals who are happy just to break par. I will start at the top with booze (played every season 2 tournament and a true gent and sportsman, I have a lot of respect for this guy), stoney (who has gone a bit quiet on the forum and would be great to hear from him posting again, great player),Gav (season 1 champion, need I say more) and Colly (it's great to have him back because this is where he belongs). Leon has upped his game unfortunately and jumped above me in the standings, love him (in a comradery way) so fair play . I'll continue with Xbox, Electablemule who's game has improved immensely as has Sam Terrence, Al is up and down as is Ray but they both pull out some great rounds. PC, Art and Josia are seriously playing good stuff at the moment as is Anders which is great to see, getting seriously competitive here and I'm loving it. USE takes practise and it's paying off with our members with some great scoring. Tuffguts is a seriously good putter btw, very enjoyable to watch them putts holed.

Just finished my 4th, I played it with Paul, who did very well on a tough course!
As for me, after bogeying the first by a barely missed putt, on the second I put the approach shot in the sand beside the green. Proceeded to hit a beautiful shot out of the sand, which rolled right up to the hole...woulda been a perfect birdie chance on most greens, just the shot you always hope to hit out of the sand... but not here. rolled right by the hole, kept rolling, until it was far enough away, that I ended up with a bogey. It may have rolled off the green.. I don't even remember now. All I remember was being so frustrated because it seemed every green started doing this- barely missing the hole only to watch it roll so far away that the next shot was not easy.
very frustrating day as I felt I was hitting the ball well, but the score did not show it.
on to next week!

Yes there was some putts where you felt like you wanted to snap your putter in 2. personal I really enjoyed the greens this week, my bogies came from a poor short game apart from the flat stick. My pitch, chip and flops are severely wanting, very poor this tournament. 6 over after 4 in round 1 but pulled it back, couple of late bogies in round 4 after rushing the holes after the BBQ was lit. I managed to hit Anders ball in the rough with the heel of my club, but nobody noticed before I replaced it How Anders birdie putt didn't drop I don't know

Macdonanld Invitational final leaderboards booze2407 storms to a 10 stroke victory on extremely tough greens with a superb -18, in second are stoneysooner and colly45 (colly has been runner up 9 times this season, surely that win is just around the corner). Low round of the week is a superb 62 by booze in round 2. No shots of the week this week. Handicap competition Some great scoring by Polekatt shoots him to 4 under his handicap, i second is samterrence on -3 and 3rd is ElectableMule6 who is in great form. Well played guys the only one's to shoot under their handicaps this week. Latest USE Ranking Table
