Yeah, my main takeaway was that the guy was absolutely DESPERATE for attention and to keep getting replies, so transparent; and that he was covering it all up with the BS about "I'm just a different type of person, I'm a creative guy." Etc etc Definitely some issues there... I take no pleasure kicking anyone out of this society, I even asked him to make an effort to fit in but there is a difference in having fun and a joke and cheap digs to rile everybody up just to get attention.Just saddened it had to come to it, but he can't say he wasn't given a chance. On a positive note we have Ray back on the forum and his show of sportsmanship on calling a penalty on himself is why I want him to be part of this society and forum. There are many benefits of having our own forum but it is nice to have a say who should or shouldn't be part of it. Also bumped into Paddy in another thread because Anders picked his really nice RCR Mile Ride G&CC which is coming up soon. Nice to know there are others out there that enjoy and appreciate what we have here and another new member. Thanks for the kind words mate, and everyone for making me welcome. It’s a no brainer to call penalties on yourself here. You may get a 2 stroke penalty out of it, but at least when people see your scores they know they’re legit. I’m glad I managed to get my old streams to save for a month so if I’m drunk I can watch back and make sure I haven’t goofed. It would be as bad as cheating on a RL golf course for someone else to point out I’d broken a rule I think. You can’t get integrity back once you’ve lost it. Here’s to another year of me bouncing from the bottom to the top of the XB leaderboard on a weekly basis, and quality bants 😂😉😫

Lol. Different expectations here I guess. I’m at -15 thru 3 with a penalty to be applied and feel like I’m playing awesome. Just had a read of the old forum. As he admitted I didn’t message anyone about anything. If he wants to play me it can be in TST or elsewhere now he’s burnt his bridges here. I don’t get it. I thought this place would be a respite from the PGA shenanigans, not a place to extend it. As good old Art says... Onwards 🙏🏼 LOL, same here. I finished at -15 and was playing great I thought. My short game is where I need the most improvement.

My short game is where I need the most improvement. Just about to crank out R4, I’ll need a -3 to get you once my penalty is applied. For me it’s all about the tempo. If it’s ok I can aim where I want, if it’s being temperamental I try to mitigate the fasts by aiming short right but it inevitably leads to further bad tempo and lots of chips, pitches and flops. Thankfully it’s improved that part of my game. I could have been probably 10 better if I’d holed a few more 3 and 4m putts in round 1 and 2, but no complaints with tempo this week at all. Hadn’t mentioned the course, but it plays beautifully. I’m not a fan of slow greens normally, but here it’s needed and plays really well. The sight lines off the tees are realistic, the design is clever, and it’s nice to look at. I’ve only given maybe 20 5star ratings, most get 3 or 4 but this was a 5, easy. Awesome choice.

Hi everyone! Just had my best 4 round showing on USE. Finished at -40 and had 2 or 3 rounds at -10 or better. I'm very happy with this.
I took a bit of a hiatus after being pretty upset with myself for using a loft box for the entirety of a first round in an event but I decided to tee it up again. Good luck everyone!

Accidents happen, so long as the final leaderboard is right and people fess up when they make a mistake everyone is happy I think.
Bloody good shooting too. Bastard!!! 👍

Finished E for R4, -15 for the tournament on the leaderboard, but OFFICIALLY -13.
Had a nightmare with tempo and lag. It even kicked me right out of the game after 3 holes. Can’t complain really, 3 out of 4 rounds with good tempo on an XBox is probably 2 more than average lol. Was probably a little lucky to get it back to E after being +2 or so when it was at its worst. Missed eagle on the drivable par 4 by a bees dick, then had a lucky bounce off a rock on the par 5 following which left me a gap wedge in for my 2nd. Had to have a look at the replay to see how the hell it got there, it looked like a big gay fade (slow) from where i was standing. Missed that eagle by less than the one before dammit lol. Much as I liked the slow greens for the course, they certainly didn’t like me back.
Looking forward to next week, good luck those yet to finish 💪🏻🇦🇺👍

Played Stoneys ghost in the final round, he had a great round! Me not quote as good, ball striking deserted me and I got careless for a -5, ended on -24 which I’m really happy with.
Playing all my golf in USE style now and absolutely love it, looking forward to the next event.
Good luck to all those still playing!

Hi all I'm back! Played the par 5's terribly this week especially the first hole that I bogied the first three rounds but managed to birdie in round 4. Round 2 cost me this week as I started badly and didn't get back under par until the back 9 anyway hit -6 -1 -8 -8 for a -23 total one behind stoneysooner and 12 behind he who shall not be named

That first round had to be the round of my SIM life...-6. Eagle on the 1st par 5 was nice, but flopping a deep rough shot for another eagle was a fluke for me. I'm worried what round 2 will pay me back for this luck.

Well I believe I have just finished my best USE round ever. Very nice follow up to what I thought was one of my best, R3. This one was even better!
The triple on 8 and those three holes in general were just plain out nerves. I mean... you guys know my handicap, starting out with 5 birdies in a row, I just completely got on edge there for a moment! On 17, I hit it under the hole, and had a 70 putt up a 4 ft incline. The angle I was putting it, I could see it dropped off again after the hole. So those were just me not hitting it hard enough for fear of it going down the other side.
But this round, it was crazy... I wasn't hitting perfect perfect, I was just having a lot of shots drop and a lot of luck, regardless of tempo. I even had a couple holes where I felt I was in no mans land, and somehow made an approach shot to get it close to the hole.
If not for those two triples, Mr. artvandelay would have been sweating it!

Round 2 24 hours later and still fuming, I thought I screenshot my scorecard but I didn't. 42 on the back 9, 12 shots worse than my first round 30. Was going along nicely 3 under on the front 9 but a collapse that is even pretty spectacular by my standards, 6 over for the last 8 holes. The whole game went pear shaped, chipping putting long game, the lot. Maybe because I was fuming for letting it slip and just made it worse for myself, there is a fine line between being in the zone on USE and a meltdown. Tbh I didn't play fantastic golf up to the meltdown but putted extremely well to get to -10 after 28 holes. Last 2 rounds are gonna wait till tomorrow, I'll be back on my Utrawide monitor as I felt my tempo was really off on my 55 inch 4K TV. I will never give up here, always pride to play for even if my rivals are far off in the distance.

Brush myself off and will try to catch Ray and Wade now as your - 20 is a far reach 😉
