We stay in the sandbelt region southeast of Melbourne to play the Australian PGA Championship at the Victoria Golf Club.
Victoria Golf Club was founded in 1903 lead by William (Billy) Meader. The course was relocated in 1926 to its present site, and Alister MacKenzie was commisioned to the unfinished design by Meader and Club Captain Oscar Dammen's design. The course opened for play 14th may 1927. During the years, many bunkers was filled in due to maintenance cost. A restoration project commenced in 1996, and the final stage of this process was completed in 2019.

Third round was again a very solid round with some great putting in there. It is incredible what a fix on the controller can do in this game. I just replaced the thumb-pad that had broken, and it is all as new.  |

I think all the Pro Tour settings tourneys have weakened my Masters play. Tempo was so bad in Rd's 1 and 2....bunkers galore. Went -1, -2. Then settled down and found form with a -10 in Rd3, then lost it again in Rd4. Missed a 7 footer on 18 to tie colly so a -2 and -15 overall. Thank god the bunker play difficulty has mellowed recently....I'd have been +15.... Cheers and good luck. May miss next week as I'm away for work until Thurs night. |

Finally had some free time to relax and enjoy the game again. I had a great tempo on my first 3 rounds and a lot of perfects (which was surprising to me). On the final round my tempo was all over the place, but apparently there's been a patch dealing with red slows / fasts, I'm pretty sure the distance penalty was greater when I last played... I actually bought the game for PC as well during the summer when it was on sale, and started to create a new course (a small idyllic, local family owned course in mid-Finland where I started to play golf). I've been quite busy IRL so I didn't get that far with the course yet, just the initial measuring and big elevation changes etc... Have to say using the course designer was way more enjoyable than with PS4  Buuut, a week ago my ancient GPU died, and since this is propably not the best time to go shopping for GPU's, It's going to take a while before I can continue with that one. Cross-platform accounts would be so nice... |
