Terrible front 9 but fought back on the back 9, enjoyed the round with 2 new members who both played some really nice golf at times.

Here are the scores for the Australian PGA Championship. I think we can all see what round cost me, I think I visited nearly every bunker on the course during this round!!

I have to say 16 under is really impressive and you're struggling with putting, well played. bpatrick4489 just needs to ease up on hitting his putts too hard and those 3 to 4 putts will dissapear, less power and more borrow for break is needed as you just don't want to leave 6 foot and over return putts.

Hey guys, long time TST player here that’s fed up with pro swing so I’ve joined the USE Master Tour for my sim fix!
Hopefully I’ll be able to get all 4 rounds in tomorrow once Hammers accepts my application and after getting back from watching Leicester thrash Man Utd.
In the meantime, I’m warming up in my career mode.
Glad to be part of the fun.

Hey boys and girls , enjoying the society , first two rds got to 8 under par , then stayed there to the end of the 4th rd . Rounds 3 & 4 pretty tough pins for sure holding the greens was extremely hard and I was just waiting for the crowd to groan to let me know I was probably 90 % rolled into a bunker , think I splashed around 70 % of the time for the up and down par save , THANK GOD for that update .

A couple of visual clues are putter head lean that indicates side slope near the ball, the hole lean from behind the hole is a very good to see if the hole is on a side slope also. It does take a bit of time to actually get good at reading greens, I have only played no grid since TGC1 in 2014. Tbh I can't remember a time when my putt broke the opposite direction then I thought it would, as I said it does take a bit of getting used to but your putting will get better and better and you will start missing slightly on the high or low side and holing some big breaking putts. A prime example of this is SimChars1968 , when he first joined USE he struggled with no grids putting but now that is one of the strong parts of his game.

As Paul said, and use the putter cam to get low to see the breaks better - from behind the hole and from behind the ball. Also, keep in mind that even the pros in real life don't make all putts, and even at 6 feet the real life make % is as low as 60%. I don't know if you play golf in real life, but we try to always get in range of 3 feet from the hole with our first putt in order to avoid three-putting or worse. The same goes for chipping etc - the aim is to get the ball inside 3 feet of the hole. So be sure not to hit the ball too long or too short - distance control is key in putting and the short game. Be careful on the downhill putts, and never be too aggressive on faster and firmer conditions or on downhill putts in general.
