Special mention about a really nice course this week with some really great holes. I am a visual golfer, very fast player in real life but love to take in the holes visually while waiting for others to player their shots, this course has some great looking holes. Cracking course this week and it's hard to believe it is only 30 miles from my house and I am yet to play it. Full on with work at the moment (7 days a week), wish I had more time here and to get to the driving range to sort out my game.

Been getting the taste of the slow tempos which are alien to me in real life, I have never sliced a shot in golf ever. Seriously how often can I start well just to fold like a deck chair, very scrappy golf this week. Played all my rounds with my great rival andersnm and it took a 9 foot eagle putt to beat him by 1 on the 72nd hole Sounds like you and anders have a tight competition! Yes Wade love playing my rounds with Ander's ghost, will have to play a live match soon with him.

Great Match Ray we ended up all square, I never looked at the leader board until the very end, when you missed the eagle putt from about 5 ft then missed the next you left the door open for me Roll on next week , love the tension LOL I played a horrible front 9. Figured we were shooting it out on the back 9 but probably shouldn’t have played on after round 3. Moral victory to you for chasing me down. Roll on next week 👍 Edit - Just watched it. Your putts on 11 and 12 won it for you I think. My double on 8 cost me, as did the par on 10 after having a 5 footer for eagle. Still played it -4 for the week so can’t complain really.

My old pop said if it was good enough for Jack Nicklaus, it was good enough for me. All of my junior coaches tried to get me hitting a draw but I always found a fade easier to control. On bad days I’d set up for a big hook just to hit a straight one lol.

You were -38, I just know cause I saw you on andersnm’s screenshot in an earlier post lol. Great shooting! I got to -33, I definitely felt like I had a shot but blew so many putts. My fast swing needs some work too, I’m so erratic. Sometimes I push a bit right, other times my swing line is comical...like goes zigzag but ends up way right. It’s so hard to judge where to aim because of that. Need to come up with something kinda repeatable at least. I usually forward drives that I know are totally fine, or ones that are iffy I’ll go forward/stop before it lands, and pray I don’t hear the crowd moan lol. Approach shots I also like to watch the whole way when it’s a decent swing, I love the suspense. The ones where I’m immediately like “you idiot!” I have to do the rage forward. That's fair. I think my first goal of this game was to create a repeatable swing and I went from there. My "repeatable swing" is a push to the right and I would say it's 95% consistent so I just go with it. I definitely think it's a good idea to work on that swing! Interesting. I have definitely considered a full time push right swing...seems to be my natural swing. I have to fight hard to not do it even on non fast swings. I have already started pushing all my chips and flops and have had success with it. I guess I’m just scared to try it on regular shots, I’ll have to fool around with it in my “lesser priority” societies.

The biggest advantage to a one side or the other swing is eliminating a two-way miss. I'll always push it a little so I can usually assume my ball will land within 2 yards of where I want it to from a left-right standpoint.

The only problem I have, is that I rarely I get a weird down at the end of the line - which results in a push. I'm not quite sure how that is as all of the lines are on the left side of the blue line. As you compensate for a pull, a push leaves a heavy miss which is frustrating as there is actually nothing wrong with the swing. (bad tempo is another story).
