Love the course. Took a 2nd round to really appreciate how good it is/ how well it is done. I‘m no expert, the course seems flawless to me.
Loved the 4 ball round on round 2. Totally immersive, felt under pressure the whole round 🙇🏼😅. 4 ball can be a bit slow, but keep telling myself I’m a “feel” golfer who can swing smooth no matter what - a - la Freddie Couples. 😁

sometimes a bogey ain’t so bad, when everyone else doubles it 😅

Freddie looks like he’s making practice swings he’s so smooth and loose. Adam Scott is the complete opposite, he looks like a tightly wound spring. I’d be happy with either though.

Proud of my 3rd round. Was leaking oil the whole way in but somehow managed to shoot a good score, eagle on last helped though the wait to hit my 2nd from the fairway was excruciating 😅 I had a face on me like Jack Nicklaus in his early days. 😂

Bit unwell again, will get round 3 done tomorrow all going well. Should be a good 3 ball with Al and Sam. The conditions (Windy, hard and fast) don’t normally suit me, so I’ll have my work cut out for me to keep the little lead I built in R2.

First round was a -6 where I was -6 stood on the 15th, par 5 to come, and was thinking "I can get to -8 here," promptly bogied the next hole! Managed to get the shot back, but was grumpy after a faultless round up to that point.
Second round went OB on that early dogleg where the OB is insanely close to the fairway! Poor shot by me, really annoying to have to go back and shoot 3 from the tee. Good round from there, but "only" a -4 for -10 overall.
Defo satisfied, I'm playing well, feels like I've left 2-4 strokes out there though...

Has anyone noticed anything weird about the hole 9 green? In 2 rounds, I’ve had putts that definitely looked to be breaking left. Both times they’ve darted hard to the right immediately off the club. Maybe I just read it wrong. I think there's a few holes that do that. Not as obvious as you've noticed on this hole, but still... I think they might be double breakers, or just deceptive. I did notice one that I thought I read wrong and then it dived back towards the hole at the last minute; so there's defo at least one double breaker out there...

Round 3 played awful tough for me, and I lost focus on the final two rounds after trying to grind out a win on TST. Came up one short in that endeavor, and I believe I finished this event around -25. Respectable finish, and really did love the realistic feel of the course!

Yeah, it probably just had something going on that I didn’t read, or pay attention to. It was just strange cause they were short putts, and the at the feet view and behind the hole view were both showing a left break (at least what I saw) Then it went right from the start and I was like wtf?! Lol.

Going to throw a shameless pitch out there...
If you liked Mill Ride, please give “Stoke Park Country Club” a whirl, it’s my second LiDAR course and I think it’s better than this one to a degree

I wish I knew how to use the designer and Lidar tools. I’d love to do a reproduction of my own home course. It would play well with a couple of ‘Tiger tees’ to lengthen a couple of holes. Might spend some time searching for some lesser known Australian RCR’s to suggest for the tour.
Heading in for Round 3 shortly, might take out the gap wedge and carry a watering can with me to slow down the greens a bit lol.
Huzzah!

Round 3 in the books. -2. That was hard work from the chip in par on 1 thru to the shaky bird on 18.
Would like to nominate my par on 17 as the greatest par in the history of golf - ever..
Snap hooked a VF into the drink. Took my drop but went back far enough (maybe) to hit one over the tree and have a chance at getting close to the green. Judged it perfectly and hit a fast 4w (deliberate) into the wind to the fringe and holed a chip that rolled in beautifully 👌🏻 A clutch up n down from 220m odd right when I needed it.
Outplayed by both of the lads, but that’s the tough round out the way hopefully.
With the loss of Nina and addition of Al we definitely lost the best looking 3ball title, gonna need you to step it up Nina lol.
3 shot lead on Sam heading into R4, will play it shortly but not post about it till Sam has played so he can play my ghost live if he chooses.

Round 3 was an absolute rollercoaster.
Up to hole 10, serene progress, 7 pars, 3 birdies, felt like I could've been scoring better, but solid play. Then had double bogie on the par 3 with water, that's between clubs on that pin and wind. Only parred 2 holes on the back 9! Extremely annoyed I bogied the last. That's cost me 2 strokes.
Everyone else seems to have carried on scoring well, even in the high wind, so although I feel like I'm playing fairly well this week, I think I might finish lower than normal.
