Here are my final scores for this week. If I am honest, didn't enjoy this week one bit, I know it's The US Open but this was too much. We have a number of new players recently joined and looking at some of the scores I don't think this will encourage them too much. Just my opinion but there you are. Fair opinion - and this is also one of the most difficult courses we have played as well. It is the longest on the PGA Tour, and it is narrow. Personaly, I think we ought to have very fast and very firm greens on the US Open, that is a trademark of the tournament in real life with the penal heavy rough. Wind this week was varied - from low, medium, high, very high - but with a prevalence on wind from the ocean, which makes the wind come sideways on many holes on this course, and making some of the holes quite long and tough (12th, 16th comes to mind).

Having said all that, I forgot to add what a very good rendition of this great course this is, very well done.

Final Round and was quite square to start off with (pun intended). Chipped in for eagle on the par 5 6th and did the Rich Beem shuffle after that dropped. With wimigbg out of sight in 1st along with 2nd in the clubhouse colly. Clutched up with a birdie down the hill on the 16th. And put myself in position to tie Paddy for 3rd on the last. Solid wedge close and made the putt for birdie to tie him. Whew, what a week. Was tough having to play two different swings. But in the end, it is what is. Definitely more challenging that's for sure. Kudos to Anders for such another great RCR for us to play on for the season. Appreciate the fine job on the scheduling of all the tournaments as well 👍 Off to find the Golf Superintendent for next week at Lake Merced!

For what it's worth (which isn't much right now ) i just wanted to let it be known that my 'crash & burn' on Torrey Pines this week, was not indicative of my 'real' game. I just gave up and fooled around a bit here and there and 'shot the breeze' enjoying the scenery . Anders' design is supreme ofcourse, and on this level (and these conditions) totally brutal. Even if you are on top of your game i think anything between par and +20 over 4 rounds is maximum effort on this one. So, if you have no game (like me), you just fade away and die LOL . I'm not bothered in the least though. I'm working my way back and practicing the hell out of it. I'm starting to get my feels back and its looking promising. In friendly matches i'm doing alright so i'll just have to be patient. The new tweaks HB/2K send through seem okay with me. The game is playing tough on the higher level and Rome wasn't built in a day like they say LOL. So like irl, one has to practice-practice-practice-play-play-play and focus on getting better. Putting in the hours is what its all about. This game is the best in its genre and has surpassed all up to now. And there is more to come so life on the fairways is looking great. On to Harding Park!!

I am just gonna say after 3 and a half rounds of terribly inconsistent tempo at Torrey, I quit recalibrated and hit so many white perfects for the next 14 holes. Kinda ruined my week because the driver was a total lottery this week including the 2 extra tournament rounds I just played and I really love this course. Why all of a sudden the need to recalibrate, what is so annoying is I thought I was just hitting the ball badly.

paddyjk19 's third round 72 was superb with that wind, big respect for those grinding out great scores on extremely tough setups. One of the best rounds of season 3 for me, well played.

It’s been tough to adapt but I reckon we will all figure out our ways of scoring soon; Before the fast patch i calibrated my swing slow and then erred on fasts and perfects, with the new patch ive gone to a fast tempo (swung as fast as I can on the calibration) and now I just try to keep my tempo brisk and I’m hitting more perfects which is helping me get round better. Also really focusing on tempo on short shots now and using the most forgiving wedges which helps. Not sure I could chip and pitch with purple wedges!

It just seems that my calibration gets reset to HB default. Hit way too many fasts for 4 rounds then recalibrated after 3 holes of round four and it feels like a different game . Hitting perfects all of a sudden again.

US Open final leaderboard drumming_guy wins his first USE tournament and it's a big one. Toughest conditions we have faced so far this season and a +6 winning score, wimi_gbg is 2nd 3 strokes back, colly45 takes his customary 3rd place again a further 3 strokes back. Low round is wimi's excellent opening round 70 Shot of the week is another hole out from Wade, this time showing his bunker skills on the par 3 16th
