Not sure what is going on here but about in Round 2, about three greens so far, it has been so dark it is impossible to try and read the greens. Difficult enough playing this way, without this. Not encountered that at all. Clouds? Third round - I forgot to take a screenshot of the scorecard - but it was +8, though I ran out of count on missed putts inside 6 feet. Tee to green felt like even par, so I think I lost all shots on the greens. wimigbg - 57% fairway in the very high winds. (which is the same I had in round 2).

Very happy to shoot level par in the 4th round even though the wind led down it was still tough 👍

The only good thing about my fourth round, is that I at this moment is the clubhouse leader as no one else has finished yet on PC (not counting Wade on PS4). Totaly cold putter - and the problem is that once you start out bad with the putter, confidence is lost ..

Round 3 with andersnm again. Had to him hitting the fairways. He did, I did not. Hit 8 greens but still got away with a 75. It cost me a headache, but I'll take that. The headache came after the 6th when after a descent 3 iron from the rough I had 26 yards left to the pin and needed 5 strokes, 4 of them putts.

Final round and I found out something. On this tough course (setup) the wind does not matter much to me. I am not hitting fairways or greens in great number either way, so it is down to short game and mostly putting. Today nothing dropped, so the worst round of the week, but played roughly the same as earlier rounds. I have mentioned the good driving from andersnm , but after 4 rounds I must say that his bunker play was the best I have ever seen. As it stands now, but that will change. And the most surprising stat for me.

First Round in at Torrey Pines. Front nine would've been a clean one. But was just a bit firm with the 7 footer for par on the 7th as it lipped out. Was pin high on quite a bit of the greens. Finally caught up to me as it was an impossible chip that did not want to stop on the 10th. Really sharp short game and partial pitches kept it together besides the two bogeys. 42% FIR compared to colly's R1 92%. I'd be up for a trade of drivers perhaps Felt like 3 fairways found to be honest. Did hit the ones that I needed to like the longer par 4s at Torrey. Kept the stress level down...a bit. Closing birdie for the round with a two putt after hitting the green in two. In red figures after the First. Definitely take that. Onto the next...

Round three was fun. Still learning how to play again with the new tempo changes as I always used to err on the Fast when there was trouble short and then err on the Slow when there was trouble long so it's been a massive re-adjustment to find a "safe" shot to certain pins! I'm trying to use more forgiving clubs as I'm not able to practice as much with work being busy, I'll have to wait till my summer holidays to try and compete with wimigbg the way he's playing!

I played my first 2 rounds. Tough course with tough conditions. But that's how a US Open should be. Satisfied with my first round of +3. I was even -1 at the front nine. The second round in +7. Less satisfied with that score. Also here at the front nine I was playing not too bad. But also here at the back nine I lost too many shots. I missed some fairways and had some long putts and then par is very difficult.

Wow that was tough, tee'd up with Paddy and new member jeffield who certainly has the pitching game for USE. He played some good stuff but his putter was cold for those tricky medium putts. Lovely pitch for a tap in par on 16 from him, I had nearly the same shot and also manage to get up and down. I think splash has been nerfed a bit, total duff out of the sand on 8, I still managed to hit to 4 foot from my second sand shot but gave too much break and hit it 40 foot past and a quadruple bogey to make a complete mess of the hole. Got my driver back in groove on 14 and managed to par my way to 18, really enjoyed the challenge on an excellent course from Anders.

I was playing a practice round for next week and it took me 3 tries to get out of a deep green side bunker. It was like I was whiffing the shot. I had to go up a club to the SW to get out. I've never had that happen before. I am also seeing the same thing with a chip in heavy green side rough. I have to go up a club to get a full back swing.
