Rebounded from the opening -3 to go -11 in rd 2! One of the most satisfying rounds I’ve had in this game, as a few of these holes were really stressful. Made some good shots, and didn’t let the mistakes cost me. For instance, attempted a fade off the tee on 17 and of course got a very slow! What could’ve been a complete disaster though came inches away from being an eagle. I really don’t think I will win this week, but at least I got myself back in the running.
I don’t expect anyone to actually watch this, but I’m posting it anyway lol

Just finished up.
E, -1, -6, -6 for a -13 total.
Really enjoy this course, finally nailed it in rd4 in tough conditions and went bogey free including a few great up and downs. Managed to save the video so will post once I figure out how to trim and post etc.
Managed to close the gap slightly to Gavlar but he’s played really well this week to post -25, truly a great effort! 👏🏻
Good luck to those yet to brave it!

Between us we manage 72 good holes Sam. You’d be a perfect 4 ball partner 👍

Also - idea.
Can we have a 4 ball event? Would be awesome to team up some of the guys at the top of the leaderboard with some of us potatoes and have a teams event. Happy to help with sorting scores. Thoughts?

Thoughts? There are team events planned. We were waiting for the forum switch and all that previous drama to die down. We were originally thinking Wentworth (which has had matchplay in the past,) but our numbers were a bit down at that time. Numbers looking good again! So we'll start getting the plan back in action.

Finally a good round! (3rd round)
Faultless golf until an idiotic missed short one on the 18th. Great drive, felt my approach was good, inexplicably (to me) went a bit right and just missed green, got annoyed, played a decent but not great chip, rushed the 5 footer, just lipped it. You can't play 3 only ok shots on a difficult hole and expect to avoid bogie.
Anyway, playing well, might take on the difficult 4th while I'm actually hitting fairways and making putts.

Really chuffed with my -2 final round. Finishing bogie, bogie was rough, but I played so well.
I played my hybrid (216yd) to the final green, 191yd from hole, into that huge headwind, it went about 180yd and then rolled back down another 8-9yds, left with that nasty huge uphill putt. That hole is a ****.

Well played LKEET6, if only I had not blown up on the 18th I would have been happy with my round. Level par is ok for me on USE so can't complain really.

Let the chase begin. Knew I would have my work cut out for me, and I wasn't disappointed. I now remember why I struggle a bit around this place and it is due to not reading these greens very well. Also, I have no answer for #17. I will be lucky if I am not over par for the event on that dam hole. I'm going to need two excellent rounds to finish and catch gavlaar124. Made a bogey in each of the first two rounds, but overall sitting in a good spot. Need a strong 3rd round in order to stay within range. -5 -7

Matchplay requires a commitment from everyone to post scorecards. Better ball and combined scores for foursome (alt shot). I am a huge fan of the Ryder Cup, my favourite sporting event. I book that Friday off work way in advance and watch every minute of it on TV 😊. World Cup of golf has a team strokeplay system that would work well here we need to match up handicap skills to make it competitive. Talking of handicap, the handicap leaderboard will be back next week as we have now played 5 events on the new PC society.

I don't watch a huge amount of golf, but the Ryder cup and masters are ones I REALLY try to watch all of. Also if I can, the UK and US open. It's a commitment, on weekends, when the wife is ALREADY very understanding of my obsession with Liverpool FC and watching all the raptors games (82 games a season!) I managed to watch every single bit of the last Ryder cup, loved it. Shame it wasn't a classic, but it was still very enjoyable. I watched a lot of medinah, including pretty much all of the final day, and that was just absolutely epic. Rose's mammoth putt and Mickelson clapping, great stuff.
