Round 3 in the books and I managed the wind well, but four-jacked out of nowhere on hole 3 and was struggling with the speed of the putts. Managed some nice saves and a couple of birdies dropped on the back nine. Good chance for double digits under par if I can play well in the last round!

Struggled with tempo in round 4 so was never going to compete with the superb final round from Paddy 👏🏻. -19 total, most pleasing aspect in this round was a couple of excellent partial pitches I played where I would normally have used splash shot whilst playing TST.Beautifully designed course nonusehki, cheers.😁

Final round and oh what a final round it was. Got the long putt eagle to drop on 1 just to 3-jack from 11 feet on 2 to give one back immediately. Had some good looks on the front nine but I have a tendency to read break into straight putts which can be very frustrating. Didnt really hit it close enough on the back nine and the chance catch up with the people on the top of the PC leaderboard was slipping away. Then while Jeff was struggling I hole out for eagle from the bunker on 15 for another eagle - Just to again show bad composure losing the drive right on 17 which lead to a bogey. Needed something special on 18 and manged to pipe the drive down the right hand side of the fairway. In between clubs, went with a faded PW that was perfectly judged and set up a left to right slider for eagle. I knew it was in as soon as it left the blade. Very pleasing finish to this Finnish adventure! On to Sweden and a course I have played several times in real life. Should be able to improve on my RL best score of +4 next week!

Best USE round yet for me. I didn’t get to Art’s game-breaking -8, but I did get close enough to wave at it. I had to ask myself what was missing from the back nine scorecard; it took a minute before I realized there weren’t any squares. 😀 When you have stats like this, you shoot 6 under:

The above was R2. I sandwiched that between R1 at -1 and R3 at +1.
R1 was missed opportunities on the green and R3 I just couldn’t get anything going tee to green. Made some nice long-ish par saves, though.

R4 was meh.
Highlight was back-to-back birdies on 10 and 11; 20 feet and 17 feet.
I also saved bogey on 12 after hitting my tee shot OB and my next tee shot into the cabbage. Best bogey I’ve had recently. 😀
Missed a 14-foot eagle putt on 18, but tapped in for birdie to finish E for the round and -6 for the event. Chuffed at being under par over four rounds! Amazed at the scoring at the top of the leaderboard.

I had my best USE tournament ever! (OK it was my first one, cut me a little slack) Overall pleased with my performance and thoroughly enjoyed the course this week. I can't emphasize enough how much I enjoyed playing the game this way. Thank you to the great artvandelay for suggesting this society to me. I know future courses are going to be much tougher but that's fine with me. I like playing RCR's and this society suits me perfectly. Thank you to everyone for making my first week an enjoyable one and good luck to everyone moving forward. Struggled a bit in Round 4 but managed to stay under par. Finished the week at -16, which isn't bad for me.

Even more fun with the tempo feedback switched off on the display as you end up watching the ball flight intently wondering if it’s short, long, Left, right or perfect!

I was searching for instructions to make Lidar courses, mostly out of curiosity. Stumbled in here and it was love at first sight. I had been playing like this on my own, but with a Pro swing and enjoyed it immensely. Even had come to the conclusion to start my own society and see if anybody would join. Playing real courses is also a plus. Not to mention the fact that some favourite designers were playing here... Always enjoy reading about your experiences on the course.
Still haven’t broken par more than once (at Formby), but someday, someday I will for a hole tournament.

I think we had one of the most realistic weeks scoring-wise here!
Maybe even still a bit on the high side as the pros would slaughter this course.

As I have said from the start the learning curve is big in this game, going to take more than 3 months for PGA Pro scoring. The score averages are really dropping as everyone is learning the game. This game is so much better than the last, tbh I found the last game a bit boring the last 6 months of playing. I can count on 1 hand how many flop shots I have played this season, where it was go to shot on 2019 and TGC2😁

3 rounds in 1 day and a tournament with 4 rounds under par, chuffed with that . Witnessed some great rounds and great golf from everyone I teed off with. Cracking course and I am looking forward nonusehki 's next course , some really memorable holes that stick in the brain. Hole 4 and a drive to sit behind the same tree on the right every round . Course requires some good course management and the most I have used my 5W off the tee for a long time, great stuff .Thinking back now that when I read your post on TST, never though we were getting another great course designer here when I invited you. Round 2 got a little bit scrappy on the back 9 but salvaged an under par round. Round 3 the back 9 in the wind is the best I have played in this game, 5 under for the back 9 and my whole game was there. Round 4 pretty solid to finish -13. Highlights Round 3 hole 17 Round 4 hole 1

Partial pitch now my go-to shot for anything over 25 yards. Working well for about 3 out of every 4 attempts. The 4th of those is my go-to bogey shot.

I can choose a pitch from 13-16 yards as well, if I am in deep rough, some elevation, and have some green to work with. Or - I can chip from 24 yards from fairway if I have lots of green to work with. Only time I choose a flop, is when I have short sided myself very bad - or if I am on a severe uphill lie (for realism), but that is rare.
