@sirwade you are rounding into form, bravo! Jeff hoosierhoops24 so glad you joined us. Jeff and I use to have many casual rounds together when we were only an hour or so apart, and almost always on RCRs or Lidar offerings. He is a great guy and the designer of Austin CC (sure most of you already knew that).

My first round was just a casual round with our new member hoosierhoops24 and I made sure of he would beat me. Alright then, I admit I tried to beat him but a 74 was not near his fine 67 (with a few short birdie puts missed). I was impressed the way he shaped the shots as needed and his short game. My swing was not there today and the putting was even worse. Tomorrow is a new round.

Round 2 and my daughter is working, so no texts . First seven holes is a see saw , steadied it to go a clean -4 inward from there

I played with artvandelay , now toned down from Liberace to Payne Stewart. Managed to hold it together for 12 holes, then my wobbly swing got the better of me. Did you know there's OOB 100 yds left of the 16th green? Well, I was surprised as well. Had the best pull I ever had on the tee shot. Probably to compensate for the extremely pushed 5W on the 4th, so it evened out. To a cost of 3 shots, but that's life in the fast lane. 2 74s and +6. Still waiting to go under par on this tour...

You are progressing well wimigbg , keep at it! Thank you! I realised yesterday that you probably have years of experience of HB Studios golf. I have way less, so I have some time to catch up.

First round on USE is in the books. Decent round for me. I'm having a blast playing the game this way.

Played round 2 last night. Played about as well as I can on the front 9, with the exception of a lipped out 7 foot eagle putt on the 4th hole. Unfortunately I couldn't keep the pace up and failed in my bid to catch the great artvandelay . Still not a bad round for me.

Great course! Perfect balance! Birdies are available but they are not for free! Nice with something other than an american championship venue for a change! Played pretty well, except for when I followed my playing partner and double crossed one OB on 14 in round 2. Nice to see some red numbers!

Quite pleased with another clean scorecard for Round 2. Just couldn't keep it in the fairways enough especially on the par 5s. There are some low scores out there for the taking. -13 at the halfway mark. This course is so good nonusehki ๐

What a score Art! Nice work!
-12 at halfway, love the work of the course! Iโd always rather play easier courses that are perfectly produced like this then some of the shoddy famous courses (like the awful version of pine valley), luckily we have Andres and Jeff who both do great iconic courses!
This course is an easy favourite for me, the detail is exceptional

Forgot to get an image of my scorecard for round 3. I was probably too exhausted playing in such winds on a park/forest course. I hardly hit a fairway in the beginning, but somehow managed to finish the first 9 at -1, mostly thanks to the putter. It started getting scary after a while, holding -2 after 15. Would I finally break par? I donโt know if you remember that OOB to the left at 16. I did and still do. No idea why a sudden pull appeared on the same tee again. A triple bogey and back to the usual over par score. One break through was a no three put round. Never happened before. Must have holed about 5 6-9 footers, including a 7 ft for a 2 put birdie. And pretty happy to have a sub par round left to fight for. (<- a lie) And totally agreeing with paddyjk19 regarding courses, love those more unassuming but well executed courses. And Helsinki GC looks like the courses Iโm used to in Sweden.

Rushed Rd 1 before the missus grabs the PC tonight (teachers do way more than 7 hour days by the way)....bloody -1 after being -3 (and playing very average) then bogeying 16 and 17. Could not buy a mid range putt. Could read the slopes Ok but most putts were missing by half a hole either side and that's the difference between a -1 and a -10. Sleep on it and reset for tomorrow night....maybe without that half bottle of red with dinner. Gotta love Aussie Shiraz though!! Cheers
