Round 3 and 4 played really well but those 10 to 20 footers just don't drop, long lag putting very good also. 18 on round 3 when just short of the front of the green in 2 and 14 on round 4 with a drive into the creek on the left spoiled 2 good rounds as I had a solid all round game. Sorted that outside putting backstroke out mostly, but still there at times and cost me a few birdie putts.Shame SimChars1968 let it slip on 17 and 18 as he had a good under par round going.

Yes, tell me about it Paul! I was much happier with the round though after what went before! That was mainly down to me trying out some different clubs though. I have now settled on my present bag, although I want to unlock some more that will help me more, hopefully!

What did everyone think of the course?, I loved it. Some really good holes, actually felt shorter than 7500 yards. I am really liking the schedule, some good courses coming up. River Highland next week is a really good course also, no silly pins from my course testing.

I was really annoyed with it after the first three rounds this week, but I knew I could do better(see my previous posts), and proved that to myself in the final round. It is just like golf in the real world, and the players on here know what I mean. I know there are still some short-comings in this version(drop rules still being one), but it really is going the right way I believe.

All of them have very challenging greens.

Yes exactly you just can't switch off, you need to concentrate for every shot.I love playing with other ghosts because it helps my concentration levels, You played a low bump and run off the fairway from 20 yards. I would never have played that shot normally but as we were close in distance I gave it a go and nearly holed out. I am still learning this game, but have really played a lot of practice rounds this week and the improvement with my game has been huge. I am not trying to scramble so often and my misses are just off the green. 87% scrambling in round 4 as I never left myself in really tough places to get up and down. I have also been tinkering with different drivers and am liking the 287 Calloway right now.

River Highland next week is a really good course also, no silly pins from my course testing. I've really enjoyed the schedule so far. Challenging and demanding courses to score well. River Highlands (which I hadn't played before when Wade mentioned it to me a few weeks ago) is another tough course. With this game, I've never had that feeling of the blood pumping on shots whenever hazards are in play. Nailing those are much more rewarding than anything I've ever played in a golf game. No auto pilot golf anymore, got to focus on each shot. Looking at our schedule, there are even more great courses on tap. USE rounds are probably what I look forward to each week compared to other societies. A few things could be fixed with the game, but we've got a great thing going here.

I see the PS4 and Xbox final leaderboard but no PC leaderboard.
Well, seeing as how I just now finished, it wasn't final yet. LOL!
Something has changed in the putting. Now, it is taking me 3-4 tries to even get the putter to register. I was pulling back slowly, then trying to smack the ball, if you remember- My suspicion was that I was pulling back so slowly or hesitating in the follow through and causing something to kick that to the start of the shot, making the power start from there and being a lot lower.
Well that has changed.
Now, its like I pull back slowly, and then do what I was doing, and it doesn't take it. It acts like you pull back the stick then just let off it. And this is confirmed, because its been doing it every putt, multiple rounds, since midweek or so. Its now taking me several tries just to get the putter to actually work.
So basically having to relearn putting again. feels like i'm starting from scratch. When I smack the ball hard enough to make it register, its so hard to control how straight it is.

Yes - I also got a bit of stuttering on the putting the last round. The solution Josia: bring back the putter slowly as before. But when you reach the backswing length you want, you want to move the stick firmly forward into the plastic on the controller - I would not recommend rushing, because then the swingline can be all over the place, but firm and as fast as you feel comfortable. This is actually the way I do it in real life as well - moving the club forward firm and aggressive on putting. In real life, that keeps the effort more consistent, so the backswing length is the only factor for distance control. When I started playing this game, I found I took the careful slow backswing and also had a careful slow forward - no good. The key to good putting in this game, is to be slow on the backswing, and as fast and firm as comfortable forward on the movement of the stick.
