Round 2 in last night. Agree that the par 3s here are tough. Especially the 3rd, I’ll gladly take 3 and run to the next hole each time. Made a lot of par saves to go with 2 birdies and finish the front 9 again at -2. Slightly misjudged a few pitch shots which lead to two bogeys and back to Even. Finally got one right on 17 and made the putt for birdie. Had a big left to right birdie putt on 18 that just came up an inch short. Finish Round 2 at -1 with still a lot of golf to be played on this tough course. The grind is real with this game.

changing the loft or deloft with the shaper and steeper angle for spin. Yes we can use the shot shaper in this game Terry. Tempo is important for pitch and a slow one is a disaster.
Thanks for the info, I will start practicing before my next round, this should knock a few shots of my score.

Round 2, just crusing along, pretty stress free. Then I just suddenly lost the swing and it all fell apart. Lots of work to do in the closing rounds now.

Round 1 = +8 Round 2 = +4 At this pace, I should hit E by round 4

If I got 10 XP for every par or bogey putt that was within a foot, I could level up. Twice.
R1: +4 R2: +3
Here and in TST, there are always one or two holes where my putting or short game goes fruit-shaped and a double or triple is carded. Eliminate those two holes and I’d be challenging par every round.

I need more practice in that area.

My card for the second round. Absolutely terrible start to the back 9, but managed to hold it together somewhat. Didn't really appreciate the headwind on the par 3 third but somehow got a par!

I agree about the par 3s. I just didn’t have the club in my bag to reach the green without flying it. Any par in R2 on a par 3 was a scramble. My scramble percentage was 55% if that tells you anything. 😀

This is in no way taking away from this super rendition of the course, we are given what the course actually is.

Must agree; Wade did a great job with it.

Is it my imagination or are the greens slow on this course?
Don't misunderstand, this is not a complaint, I love the course! Its beautiful, well done, and plays well!
I'm just having a terrible time with the putting, and it is just on this course. Last night, I played three complete rounds, (TGCTours) and then did about 6-8 practice holes in addition, (but on my NFL home course) On all those, I was fine on my putting. had about one hole here and there that I messed up, but was doing ok on 85% of my putts, even the short ones.
Then feeling comfortable, I played my R2 here. I was awful. I could not putt anything, I was hitting every single putt short, and missing every 5 footer because I was only barely hitting it, then the next one would be too much.
I started wondering, are the greens way slower, and I had just gotten used to faster ones in my other rounds I had played?
I started to try one of the other courses again after I finished this round, but I was so frustrated I just went to a different game. I mean, I was on the green in regulation almost every single hole, then 3 and 4 putted almost every single hole.
Is there a way to practice putting on the exact course you are getting ready to play with the exact speed before you play a round, like those putting greens near the clubhouse at a real course? I vaguely remember someone saying that last year, but I can't figure out how to do that if its there.

Hey Josia, Yes, it was decided to play the greens at moderate/normal speed (144) due to a lot of undulations on the greens. Not to mention that the courses didn't port to 2k21 with the same characteristics as in 2019.

The practice putting green is 144 same as Mauna Kea's greens, I actually hit my best round on Mauna Kea with 171 greens
