Mauna Kea GC - Hawaii Here is some information about the course: One of the most popular golf courses in Hawaii, Mauna Kea offers superb views of the beautiful Kohala Coast. Since it opened in 1964, this course has set the standards in terms of beauty and design excellence, cementing its place as one of the most scenery-filled and favorite courses in Hawaii’s golfing history. Originally designed by Robert Trent Jones Senior from a topography of barren lava rock, and later updated by his son Rees Jones, this award-winning 18-hole, par-72 course has played host to some of the greatest names in the game. The elevated greens and prevailing trade winds put a premium on approach shots if they are to land accurately on the greens. There are many memorable holes at Mauna Kea. The par-3 third hole is the signature hole and is located, like the eleventh, at sea level. On Dec. 8, 1964, the "Big Three" of golf -- Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player -- christened the Mauna Kea Golf Course, by playing here for a televised match. This date marked the official first day of play on this challenging course. Hole #3 272 yard Par 3 Hole #11 250 yard par 3

Hello everyone. Hope you're all well. I bought the game a few days ago. Probably a bit soon to jump into USE, haven't done much yet, but thought i might as well request to join the society.

Those first tee USE jitters. It’s good to be back for S3. With a rare day of low winds at Mauna Kea. Didn’t take advantage of the reachable par 5s. Was in prime position for both but didn’t execute any shots and had to settle for par on both. Just missed on my other birdie opportunities. Been also putting in a lot of practice with the pitch shot and it paid dividends on all 3 holes that I birdied as they were all hit to about 5 feet or closer. -2 on the front, but 3 bogeys and a birdie on the back nine put me at +2 and E for Rd1. On to the 2nd Round. Good luck everyone!

I finished up Rounds 3 & 4 in beautiful Hawaii! Tried to claw my way back in R3 with an Even par round. My first on 2K21. Back to my old ways in R4 with a (+9). (+23) for the tournament!

My opening round of the new season. A bit of a mixed bag but fairly happy with that effort.

I know I should practice more. And the one thing that really gets out of shape - is putting. Just aweful putting from me this week. Or simply play more and less time in the course designer..

@sirwade Hello mate! How are you? I've been getting your lovely mauna kea plenty of plays as my USE practice course Been scoring similar to your rounds here, so maybe I should just crack on and compete in the actual tournament this week. Feel like my swing is coming along nicely, really getting some control. Putting has come along a lot in a short space of time, but not enough to be getting regular birdies. Just constantly 2 putting for either par or bogie. And there's always 1/2/3 holes where I completely blowup, finding water or 3/4 putts on the greens. Again, cracking course 👍

It can get rough if you get off the fairway. I think you should play. You need the plays and to work out the nerves lol. My putting was hot and cold. I still have a lot to work on for sure!

I know I saw an early season schedule on here somewhere, I can't seem to find it now. I need to know where to book my flight and hotel reservations for next week.
