I know I saw an early season schedule on here somewhere, I can't seem to find it now. I need to know where to book my flight and hotel reservations for next week. I'll make a thread for it.

Round one in the books. Stern par 3s on this track! Didnt take advantage of the par fives at all and had some putting woes on the front nine that gave me a double, but was pretty solid off the tee - drove two of the short par fours and had a couple of nice wedges as well that set up birdies. Nice to roll in a breaker from 10 feet on 18 to get into red numbers!

Finished +8 in round 1. The one positive of my round was an eagle on 13 out of the rough, about 82 yards out. I couldn't find my tempo off the tee, ended up playing out of the rough on most holes. Hoping for a better round 2.

New to USE & the game......just logged in to say Hello.
Slowly improving since joining the society, I think I shot +5 first round but leaderboards are messed up so don’t have a clue what anyone is shooting. Does any info get posted here on leaderboards & round scores?
I really like the short game rules you have in place although I’m struggling with partials on wedges that probably cost me a few shots today but I enjoy the challenge.

I pretty much did ok, but missed almost every putt that was less than 5 feet, some holes more than once.
If I can just get the short 5 foot putts figured out, I will be ok.

We will have a multi platform leaderboard and rankings table here each week. Also we will have our own handicap leaderboard based on 18 hole average score from the games society stats. That will feature in a few weeks after we all get a few rounds in.

Round 1 in the bag and the long game is in pretty good shape ,78% FIR and 72% GIR. Been practicing this course on 171 greens so messed up a couple of holes with 4 putts but hit some good putts that just didn't drop also. Generally played well with 2 putt pars for most holes, course is a good challenge and hole 3 is an absolute beast of a par 3.

Hi everyone played my 1st round, really enjoyed it apart from the pitch shots, just can't get my head around those, tried to follow hammersman advice but i don't see any percentage indicator at the bottom of the screen. another question before I grind out my next round, can we use the shot shaper for doglegs and shots from the trees, I could have done with that a few times in my 1st round, just need to clarify this before the next round, don't want to be at a disadvantage if everyone else is using it. I need to go have a lay down now one round felt like playing 72 holes LOL

Stern test this week! Greens are tough and the par 3s are brutal!
Had a mare on two holes in rd1 with the ball rolling back to my feet 3 times on the 5th which ended in holing a 6 footer for a treble bogey and a snowman 8! Chucked in a double on the 11th but rallied to finish +4 through rd1.
Rd2 started steady but I was +2 through 7 and floundering towards a mid table opening.... then things took off! Chipped in 3 times (one for par) and posted 8 birdies in an 11 hole stretch with one dropped shot to finish my round at -5 and an overall total of -1 through the first 36.
Love the course Wade, great work

Rollercoaster continued and was +5 through 7 on rd3 but played last 11 in -4 to shoot 73 (+1) and to enter the final round even par.
Hoping I can negotiate the front 9 a little better in rd4!

Also left a 4 inch putt for birdie short, that was amusing

+2 final round to finish +2 overall, no idea how it’ll stack up but I found the course challenging, I tend to just shoot from the hip hence lots of birdies but lots of mistakes, this course suits the US open style tactician I believe

I need to go have a lay down now one round felt like playing 72 holes LOL Regarding the pitch shot forget about numbers as it is all about feel for me. I have changed to the distance Callaway wedges so I have had to practice the LW hard on the pitching green as it is 10 yards longer 63 yards than my forgiving TM lob wedge 53 yards for pitch. Hit the chipping green and even experiment with changing the loft or deloft with the shaper and steeper angle for spin. Yes we can use the shot shaper in this game Terry. Tempo is important for pitch and a slow one is a disaster.
