Gave Lofoten another go to break par on it's default settings, got to 3 under at the turn and blew it on the back 9. So frustrating. Really nice big breaking 14 foot eagle putt on 13 though   |

jeff, I saw your score on the leaderboard for West Hill. Very nice, looks like you are starting to get the hang of it. At least more than me lol

jeff, I saw your score on the leaderboard for West Hill. Very nice, looks like you are starting to get the hang of it. At least more than me lol Yeah? Not so fast! R2 was a struggle. I lost count at +10 😀 Things got so bad that I went to the range after and totally re-vamped my swing. I used to thumb swing for all my shots except putting, which was a thumb-forefinger pinch. I have switched to the pinch for all my swings and it seems to be helping. First round at Stoke Park I shot -1, including a 34-foot birdie putt. A round under par Is a big deal for me on any course at this point! 🏌️♂️⛳️ |

Are the USE settings locked in the society? Started West Hill and was surprised to see the grids and markers and such..should probably lock that down before start of season..

Hope everyone is doing well. I will likely be a late joiner. It’s going to take some time to fine tune my game for TGCT, so things like using partial shots that I would otherwise never use outside of here is just counterproductive right now. I love this game and the frustration it can bring though, so looking forward to when I’m playing here again!

Consistently fast; consistently slow; consistently straight or pulled or pushed, I would take it. But I’m all over the map:straight, fast, slow, pulled, pushed. I get it all during my rounds. I will work on my putting. Putting can fix many flaws in other parts of my game. Too bad we only have the practice facility green; it bears almost no resemblance to actual greens on actual courses. Sucks. |

Played my first round at Golfclub Hude yesterday. Got off to a really good start and was at -3 till I got to the 13th green. Lag putting has been pretty good lately and had a 40 footer uphill which I just wanted to get somewhere close. But left it short of the ridge and it came back to my feet. Did the same thing again. Finally got it up the hill but left a 7 footer and missed that, 5 putting the hole and leave with a triple. All the hard work gone. Couldn’t recover and had three more bogeys to finish at +3.
Second round today and have been striking the ball fairly well. No expectations and just let the round flow. Some clutch par saves on the first three holes. Then putter got hot and birdied the next three. Pitch shot has been improving and hit a 78 yard pitch stiff which helped during that run. Lost focus on the next par 5 and had just about a tap in for birdie but rushed it without making sure about the break and missed on the low side. Ugh. Bogey on 15. Clutch chip in for birdie on 16. Had to lay up on 18 and had a wedge into the green. Every shot with hazards in this game really gets you going and focus more to miss in the right spot. Hit to 8 feet and made the putt for -4 and -1 for this event.

Wasn’t sure if everyone knew this about the practice green. If I remember correctly it was in 2019, but completely forgot. If you press the B button for Xbox and O for PS4, you can select/create your own distances for short game shots by moving the cursor to any location. Rather than just using the auto generated locations that the game creates.

Had a few beers and decided to play Club Hude on Sunday, did well on my practice round a few days ago and hit E. Terrible start to the front 9 in round 1 and never got it back, the concentration levels required are much higher than TGC2019, great course.
