I don't understand this calibration at all. It would be nice if 2K would give some info on how it works. Craig at HB has given info: "Calibration is extremely simple. We take the average downswing timing of your 10 calibration swings and adjust dead perfect to the average of those swings, within an upper and lower bounds of what is an acceptable balance. The point of calibration is to adjust perfect to align with a users more natural timing. Swing calibration will never make you hit perfect all the time. Our swing timings are dealing in the thousandths of seconds - repeating a perfect 0.00X second timing is always going to be extremely challenging regardless of calibration. A couple other points/rumors I've heard...I might as well just address here. - Swing Calibration is NOT lost when restarting the game - it is permanent until recalibrated again. - You do NOT need to recalibrate with new clubs. Dead perfect is identical for ALL clubs. The forgiveness attribute scales the window around perfect. - Perfect downswing timing for ALL shot types at 100% power are identical. Normal, Pitch, Flop, Chip, Splash - they are all the same. The timing window scales based on shot type, but absolute perfect is the same. (just like it was in 2019) Hooefully this info is of some use." That all makes sense, I hit all slows in my calibration (every shot finished right of the centre target) and now I rarely hit one in the game when playing but I use fasts as my go to shot, I can’t hit a very fast no matter how hard I push (which is good!). I think the issue with calibration is if you do not have consistency in the tempo, if you want to favour a faster or slower tempo then I feel / found all 10 shots should favour fast or slow, not a mixture of each

Played my first round at Cabot. Pretty OK first nine, some mistakes and a couple of brutal par 3s on the back. And then there was 17 and 18... -5 in two holes... Dont think Ill do that again anytime soon. That's some finish Robert, first albatross in USE in 2K21 and it might also be the first hole in 1 on a par 4 since we stated. Very nice👏

But my slow never got slower than Perfect. Robert’s comment about Fast-ing myself around the course not feeling like golf applies a little, but I prefer to think of it as I’ve just developed a natural draw shape to my shots! 😀 Finally, thanks to a tip from Pat, I’ve switched to the swing-plane forgiving, 288-yd Bridgestone driver. With a long bat like that, even if I get myself into trouble, there’s less yardage to deal with from trouble to green.

Since its completely blind I was really surprised when the screen cut to the celebration!
Really Happy with how it played out as well, looked really realistic and organic with the bounces and roll!

After hitting my 1st round under par in Mauna Kea GC, just had a crack at my career mode which I play with USE settings and master swing difficulty. 5 under after 11 holes putter on fire bottled it a bit but finished -3 with an aproach on 17 to 3 foot, though I have to say my LW pitch from 15 to 25 yards is a strong part of my game now. 3 up and downs and a 23 yard pitch in for eagle on 9, nearly holed a monster 70 foot putt but just didn't hit it. I changed back to the Bridgestone 298 driver and man do I hit it straight, 75% FIR with it.

My first practices on USE have gone well. Not under par, but not out of control either. (Not sure I've used every correct setting.) 75% fairways with the big dog is very good. I'm getting better with it, hitting a deliberate mild fast fairly consistently. Again, not great yet, but mostly getting rid of the wild ones. Just had my best round on the game (not use) also at Sawgrass. -6 with no bogies.

Nice, picking it up quickly then 😜 You didn't miss Mauna Kea, I have actually started playing practice rounds in this game otherwise I'll be hacking the course up. 1st tournament of the season starts 12 am GMT tomorrow, will be setting up The Sony Open on PS4 soon.

Not really. That's by far my best round so far! And still having +4 to +8 type rounds pretty frequently. The game is good, it punishes you even if you're slightly off, and you need to concentrate on pretty much every putt. I was getting pretty annoyed with it last night, bit better today. Ah ok, cool. Shame I missed the practice ones, but I'll just go in at the deep end I guess.

I still want to know EXACTLY what all the settings are. Not sure I've done everything correctly.
Also, is it worth setting up a guest profile for switching between normal and sim settings? Is there any issue with that, like you don't the XP and coin or it doesn't count for your career etc?

Ultra Sim Experience is an ongoing online competition on PGA Tour 2K21 with the goal of simulating the real game of golf as close as possible. It is multiplatform for PC, PS4 and XBox. 1) No non turn based ghost and ball labels 2) Follow cam must be turned off manually by the member 3) No chipping out of bunkers 4) Splash shot only from sand 5) Swing vibration must be turned off Shot feedback and pin marker turned off is highly recommended for the full sim experience but not mandatory.

You will have to turn off follow cam and vibration assist in the control settings, true shot/shot shaper is allowed in this game.

Thanks mate. I have seen this somewhere on the site, but that's not every single thing you need to do in the settings though, or is it? Like some settings have on/medium/off etc. Would be useful to have the list of exact settings you have to change. Like distance meter, off the top of my head, what's the setting for that?
