jeff and I just had a very intense live final round at Himmerland! I started R4 off 5 shots behind Sir Putt-a-Lot. I closed the gap to just one shot with a few holes to play. A bogey on #16 pushed me back to 2 shots behind Jeff. I birdied the 18th and Jeff Bogeyed but still managed to hold me off for a 1 shot victory. Sir Putt-A-Lot? ? ? ? ? I'd be really offended if it wasn't an accurate description....

Question for the group. If you are playing with a "turn-based" ghost, and John (The Announcer) states that the ghost is going with a fade shot here, would it be safe to assume that the loft box is being employed? I have played 2 rounds with a certain ghost, and I am very skeptical of some stuff. Wow, that's er, interesting. I'm not 100% sure he ONLY says it when loft box is used, but surely he wouldn't otherwise? If you would like, only if you feel comfortable, could you PM me or Paul with more details? And also play their ghost again, if you feel so inclined, and see if anything else shows up... Concerning... I stream my rounds so I can be verified at any time. I think we should encourage people to either stream or record their rounds. I’ve had commentary off for ages but that certainly sounds suss.

When I joined this Society a couple of weeks ago, I had my doubts whether I would enjoy playing here. Although I kind of like playing without any aids, and in general have improved a little, I think I am going to drop out for the same reason that I have left other types of Societies: the disparity between players. On TGCTours, Dirtbags, 24K Gold, at least there is some attempt to flight players (in the case of TGCTours) or play in ABCD teams to even things out. I do realize that would be difficult to do here due to the fewer players. I wonder what I am playing for when I see guys shooting scores that I would have trouble matching WITH aids, let alone without. I do not begrudge any of the real good players anything, but it does take the fun out of it for me. So I will walk off into the sunset, and I do wish you all the best. I’d encourage you to stick around until you’re on the handicap leaderboard. It gives you an idea of who YOUR rivals are, and highlights who played well compared to normal. I barely made A grade when I played RL golf, a handicap win was the best I could hope for - I feel like this place and these guys are my home club for this game, so I don’t mind that there’s the elite guys here. We get to play great courses and have our own forum. We’ll miss you (and anyone else) if you go - but come back any time and mention us to anyone you know plays the right way 👍

Well polekatt/josia you win this week, not enough time to finish so I get a DNF. Shame, was getting in a groove:

Recorded my 4th round, I don't normally have the shot feed back on because I find it ruins the whole experience, you tend to watch the feed back rather than your shots, It surprised me how often I had a fast downswing, My best 4 rounds ever on USE managed to beat Ray he must have had a bad week LOL

Kudos sir 👍

I've had an absolutely shocking start 😡 Been playing really well recently, both use and normal play, felt I was really coming into form. Played a practice round here and shot -8 and almost found the course "boring" because I was on autopilot and still getting loads of birdies. (It's not boring Anders, really nice course.) Then played like absolute shit today for a round and half and quit. Wasn't even going to finish my rounds this week, I was that annoyed, but the good vibes round here today has persuaded me to finish them I'll probably do them tomorrow...

Round 1 solo hit a 66 (-4), round was nothing special but played a peach of a 95% 9 iron on 18 for a simple birdie. Round 2 outplayed by Anders who hit a great 62 with some lovely holed putts, another up and down round for me. Some silly mistakes and a couple of contenders for fluke of the week . Forgot to screenshot round 2 scorecard but have the PC leaderboard. This push shot luckily landed in the rough and somehow nearly holed out for eagle This chip in 8 iron smashed the pin and dropped for eagle

Slow start, something like -1 after 10 or 11. Holed out on 18 for a 2 and ended up -8. Rd 2 was -5 so -13 at halfway. Half dozen shots behind the leader. 5-10 footers were woeful. I think I missed a 4 footer as well. Might return in a day or 2 and see if my eyes can resolve the breaks. Cheers Yeah nah! -6, -5 for Rd's 3 and 4. -24 total. Had some fast tempo issues for some reason.....perhaps a little steamy between the ears after getting pipped at the last minute for a win last week. Anyhow.....

Much better 3rd and 4th rounds to finish -9 for the tournament and climb a few places.
Wasted week really, but glad I finished the tournament, played some good golf and can end on a positive note...

Good for you Leon, that's what USE is all about! Play your best no matter what happens and be positive!

Good for you Leon, that's what USE is all about! Play your best no matter what happens and be positive! Thanks mate. Story of my week was playing a ghost (I think Jeff) in round 1, and just could NOT get anything going. Think I had 10 pars in a row! Playing pretty well, but watching my opponent pull away, then a couple of errors and still no birdies down the stretch. Shouldn't have started round 2, probably, might try and learn from that. I'm pretty good at not going on tilt when I'm doing bad, I have to say. Only time I get close is when I'm chasing and I don't birdie a par 5...
