Man, another TOUGH course for this week! Greens were very tricky. Really firm fairways rejecting balls as well, I found. After a significant portion of the first round, at least 10-11 holes, if I remember right, I was pootling along nicely at -1, and a good 8-9 strokes ahead of Wade and sosigis. By hole 5 or 6 of the second round, I was 5 shots BEHIND Wade!! š I actually recovered my round somewhat, and then was playing nice in the third round, got to -4, but was speed golfing and made some mistakes to only finish -1 and +7 for the tournament. I know you've had one dodgy round in each of this week's tournaments wade, but I think you're on VERY good form. The rest of your rounds are impressive š I would defo recommend this course for next season. Accuracy off the tee needed, and very tricky greens. A good test. Didnāt have time to finish but itās a great venue. I think the designer could have presented it better though, I saw someone post a course called āphilly cricket club LiDARā might give that a go and compare, always good to try to get the best versions. In other news I found loads of new courses whilst setting up my solo society, good tip is to go to HCP rated and search highest rated monthly or weekly, brings up some gems. Have we played Royal Dornoch yet? Barnbougle dunes was also in that search. If I play any good ones Iāll give you a nudge on them This is one of KentĀ“s (Nobleman) courses. I have noticed that all his courses are lacking in planting imho. The rest is good work though. And I think he uses trees from ChadĀ“s tool and donĀ“t plant any more trees. To see what I mean, look at the Congressional CC and notice how open the course looks compared to real life that has dense forest close to most of the course (I also donĀ“t agree with the countryside theme on this course - I would probably have used rustic or boreal - the non lidar version which is much better planted that we played earlier use boreal theme). This is of course not important to all players, but for me - good planting is as important in RCRĀ“s as other parts to get the experience of playing the course.

If I play any good ones Iāll give you a nudge on them I don't really notice stuff like that, if I'm honest; and as I don't know the course, for all I know, it could be open like that! But defo interested to know what the other one is like in comparison. For me, it's all about the how the fairways and hazards look ahead of me as I'm standing over the ball, and then of course how the greens look and play. That's not to say I'm adverse to some lovely planting! I'm sure when I see it, it adds to my experience, just probably not as much as for you

He or she has done the hazards quite well to be fair, they just havenāt added the heavy rough because itās a bit of a ball ache to do properly as itās very time consuming. As a designer I just look at the edges and think āplease just do the heavy rough!ā I canāt get away from it haha, the ocd kicks in!

I have a screenshot but itās taking forever for me to figure out how to post it lol. I was -13. Ive been in a slump lately, my swing is erratic as hell...one round Iāll kinda have it and the next will be god awful, putting has been a struggle also more than usual. Played decent in this though, was fortunate to get a pitch eagle in the last round. Had it not gone in, Iām certain I wouldāve missed the putt lol.

Is @sirwade as much of a hack here as he is in regular USE? NB: He and artvandelay are kicking butt over in TGCT CC, as they are both now promoted to CC-A. Congrats, guys! Even with aids on I could never get above CC-E. Signed, Sir Putts-A-Lot

I get enough losses in real life. Hope you are safe and well Jeffy.

Bad start, recovered to get to -1 and ready to make a mini charge, then went in the water 3 times, over two holes, to torpedo my round. +5
I'll finish coz it's my society and turnout has been low recently, but that's the end of golf for me today, I think...

TPC Louisiana was a beautiful course, but I couldn't read the greens at all. On one hole I was on the green in regulation and ended with a double bogey lol.
