you don't have to join just look at the schedule and press course details then just favourite no need to play or join

Outstanding! Problem solved! Leon- TMT society Ray- doubtful society Paul- official PGA society (season 2) I will set the tournament conditions tomorrow for you guys to follow. Do we have to join these societies? Yeah, you're not maxed out are you? PGA you can join without requesting anyway, just go in, find the course, favourite, then leave society. you'll be a "member" all of 5 mins

Maybe start with the par 3 as I missed it last time then the main course. Will play this week on PS4. We've all played it already, fairly recently. But could do a quick 1 rounder, if others are interested? Would have to keep it to one (two max) days, as otherwise we'll be pushed to get 4 rounds in at Augusta.

Itās a tough choice. I still think Magnolia / Firethorn is better because the tree selection feels better but I also donāt like the boreal bunkers with the lip. If Roystonās trees were better Iād take his any day, think the slopes are pretty bang on and heās out more effort into the background. As a replica SIM though magnolia feels more akin to the real thing.
Just wish someone would do a spanking good LiDAR version.
PS... go play āWHGCbetaā Yeltzman, itās another UK course for you Iām about to release š

I have a lidar file for Augusta. Only thing Iāve done on that is to flatten tee boxes and planting the 2019 pins exact. Iāve never considered doing more since all I did it for was to see how it played in the game. Perhaps I should do more on it?

It's either good bunker texture and wrong trees, or correct trees with the annoying bunkers. I think each designer felt differently about which is the priority. Most (including me) feel the Royce version is superior.

Thereās so much film out there I canāt see how you wouldnāt be able to do a perfect job with your experience! I think the game needs a LiDAR version, the slopes are always more severe and breathtaking than any RCR designer manages. Royce at least ers on the severe side whilst Magnolia is too tame

You could use the highland theme but there would be seaside noises but at least BOTH bunkers and trees would be correct.
I can live with the bunkers being lipped but I also prefer Royceās sloping. I still feel his trees arenāt quite as good as Magnolia though and for me itās the one thing I notice once I step on the tee

I did mention the tree's and the theme but to me playing the correct current course with the new 5th distance and correct water table, goes over a few trees but its like everything in the TGC brand nobody's right or wrong on what they enjoy just a view.

Both great versions of Augusta imo, I do have a soft spot for Magnolia as it was the first RCR of Augusta I played. Courses doesn't have to be perfect for me in terrain accuracy, just capture the feel and look.

So if I can get both accuracy in terrain and look, I will take that any day.

I agree with all of you, itās why Iām so keen for someone to do a LiDAR version as long as itās good LiDAR and the designer gets the planting bang on. Iām from the same school of thought as Paul, itās all about feeling like Iām THERE, if we can get the slopes perfect thatās an added bonus.
For example, thereās a LiDAR version of Merion but the designer has planted it like an impatient 5 year old, whilst the original RCR Merion is a bit of with the slopes but the designer has spent hours on the planting and aesthetically, itās a dream to play.
I just hope we can have both with Augusta, itās the one course we deserve a masterpiece of realism and authenticity

Royce's plays tougher by about 3 or 4 strokes for me.
