Wilder doesn’t deserve a rematch after that - he couldn’t beat Fury when he was unfit and was lucky to get a draw, this time Fury just dismantled him. He’s far from a classic boxer, but you just can’t hit the big Gypsy bastard.

He’s far from a classic boxer, but you just can’t hit the big Gypsy bastard. He probably won't get a rematch, but people always underestimate ear punches, and I have never seen a busted eardrum bleed as much as that, very strange. It's normally a trickle for a short time and then gone. Nothing discombobulates a fighter like an ear shot. It doesn't look great for fury that he couldn't finish a halfway gone wilder for 4-5 rounds. Wilder wasn't looking immediately ready to go to me, (contradiction to what I just said! But I mean properly ready to get stopped.) his corner stopped it because they could see 5 rounds of punishment and little chance of winning coming up... What you CAN say for fury is that he started the fight well, interesting tactics, certainly making wilder look uncomfortable and took some big shots really well. But I'd also say wilder started well! He was popping his jab out nicely, landing big shots. Could've been a fascinating fight! Each fighting opposite to the first fight and more like the other in style. I'm just watching the afters now, they're saying the loser has an automatic rematch clause, so we'll see what happens. Fair play to wilder for not saying about the ear, "no excuses..." (I say all this as a fury fan who wanted to see wilder humbled!)

I watched you play a few holes when I was at a loose end last night Saw you go from -2 to -4 (I think) and heard say you could feel your game coming back

I didn’t think Wilder looked good at any stage. He landed two decent rights for the entire fight, but neither rocked Fury.
I don’t think Wilder can fight. I think that big right has got him out of trouble every single time as a pro. He’s arrogant and won’t be coached. Teddy Atlas has offered to take him on and he didn’t ‘need’ the help. . I think the Mexican guy that beat Joshua would beat Wilder.
Bodes well that heavyweight boxing is on the up, I don’t like the UFC and thought it was taking over for a lack of decent boxers - or decent fights....

The fight is up on YouTube, I suggest have a look at the first two rounds again. It was more like 3-5 big shots wilder landed, and some good popping jabs. I'm not saying wilder was winning up to the eardrum issue or anything crazy like that, but it was fairly equal, with interesting tactical changes by both from the first fight. Agree with everything else

Just watched the fight up till the ear shot again, and I revise my statement slightly What I claimed happened DID happen, but I think was off with the balance. I have a habit of scoring AGAINST the guy I want to win, so I don't get carried away. I think I went too far with it. Wilder landed 4 big power shots before he was put down, and was popping out the jab nicely, BUT on first watch I had rnd1 as a toss up, but fury won that, he landed more than I thought. Same with rnd2. Fury was winning the fight well up to the ear shot. He landed more and was taking shots better than wilder, more comfortable. I still stand by my comment that tactically it was a very interesting fight and could've been a classic! (Still maintain the ear shot changed everything...)

I managed to watch it live, I had Fury up 20-19 after two. Apparently one of the judges had Wilder winning the second but the other 2 had it 20-19. Will have another look and get back to you 👍
It’ll be good if Wilder doesn’t take the immediate rematch so the Fury Joshua fight can happen and Wilder can fight whoever loses.

I'm back Baby! Ready to duel with polekatt/josia and Jay if he comes back. Onward!
From what I remember, I think we were probably fairly close in the first two rounds, maybe even the third! But I went the opposite direction than you on R4. GREAT finish, Art, Grats!!
Btw, I really liked this course.
And what happened to Jay, is he ok?

I did message Jay on steam a while back, never got a reply. Shame to not see him here anymore.

Time to sound like a world class forum noob here lol but hey I am as only joined PS4 society on Saturday Anyway, I see this thread turned into a Wilder v Fury debate which is fine. But I was under the impression a final leaderboard between PS4, Xbox & PC would be posted. I may have misunderstood of course, that is highly likely too lol

Normally takes a few days to get it done as we don’t have it all computerised, Paul (hammersman) compiles the scores when he can.
