The ultra sim experience tour travels this week to Mallorca, Spain and Alcudia to play the Open de Espana at Club de Golf Alcanada. Designed by renowned architect Robert Trent Jones Jr, Club de Golf Alcanada’s 18-hole course opened in 2003. Situated in the northern part of the Mediterranean island of Mallorca, Alcanada is located right by the sea and the 7000 yard lay-out blends naturally into the typical Mallorcan landscape. The club takes its name from a nearby island just off the shore with its own lighthouse that is featured in the club's logo. Alcanada hosted the Grand Final on the European Challenge tour november 2019. Off and away with a 1 bogey 9 birdie -8 .... Dropped 3 20+ft putts in there and may have had a chip-in but can't remember as this was my 7th round this morning 😂😂

Boy did I have an adventure. I was spraying the ball left and right....and in so many bunkers. Only 55% GIR yet I had 4 birdies and an eagle...and lots of bogies.  |

Struggling to get started this week. Should have some time tomorrow, going to play TST as a warm up so I’m not completely rusty. Qualified for the WGR, one of about 3 on XB. Used Pro clubs all season but I’d rather do that than miss cuts every week like I did last season with Masters.

Round 1 done. Played well apart from 2 silly bogeys and a 3 putt par. Think I’ll pack a chainsaw for round 2, couple of those trees close to tees need a lil trim lol. Nice course 👍

Had a bit of a giggle today. An appointment with my cancer council councillor. First time I’d seen this one as I’m in remission so only see them every 12 months or if I need it; and I’ve moved here in the last 12 months so it’s a new hospital and doctors and stuff. All free though. STRAYA!!! 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
Her - I just read your record. 8 heart attacks on top of the ‘cancer stuff’.
Me - Yeah it’s been a crappy 10 or 15 years health wise.
Her - You seem so well. What’s your secret?
Me - I’ve killed 14 people.
Her - <shocked look>

Nice course 👍 Hehe - you do remember Harbour Town?  I had my round 1 now as well. Solid -3 round, but 2 bogeys on 10th and 12th was due to long approaches and three putt downhill. |

First round with Anders and Woody, pretty close 3 ball which I just edged by a shot. My long putting was pretty good but I missed way too many medium 5-10 footers, enjoyed the round even if I didn't make the most of my great start.   |
