Great start but let it go, missed some shortish putts that I shouldn't have and holed some tough mid rangers that I also shouldn't have. Love the putting on this game it is so good for a video game, nails it for me. Highligts from hole 8 , wimigbg holes this cracking 30 footer and I nearly follow, great play from Mike really enjoy teeing it up with his ghost.

Just got back home from this work trip. This kitchen was tough, in a good way. 20 hours to get 4 Rounds in with little to no practice because I was cooking or sleeping the whole time. Some great shooting by many as I'm catching up on everything USE.

First Round in. Added the Sonic Boooom Titleist driver to the bag. The putter and lack of feel around the quick greens did me in for R1. Two 4-jacks doesn't do the scorecard any good. Especially when one of those I was on in two on the 2nd. PC Leaderboard quite stacked with some solid scores from many players to start. On to the next...

Knocked out my rounds last night after a hard days demolition and a couple of beers by the pool afterwards and a few wines with dinner. Started pretty hot in Rd1 but plateaued for a -7. -4 in Rd2 and -1 in Rd3 after a crappy front 9. Rd4 was similar to Rd1 and had it to -20 with 3 to go chasing paddyjk19. Bogey on 16 and couldn't do much in last 2 holes so -19 total. Not bad after drinks and not playing the course previously. Cheersshh

I was actually hitting that "unconscious competence" because of 4-5 pints of beer I had but I reckon I was one more drink away from shooting 75 that final round, it's a very steep drop off if you have one too many!

I scored +29 for my 4 rounds. Especially in the last round all parts of my game were off. Hooks and slices all over the place, bad chips, bad putting. Seen places on the course you probably haven’t seen lol. So a deserved score. Hopefully better next week in the desert. Beautiful course, a classic case of it is not you, it is me.

Finished my last round few days ago, 67, 67, 64, 66 for a total of -20. At first putting was definitely the worst part of my game, but right now I feel it's definitely my strongest. Especially on faster greens I feel really confident (must have something to do with playtesting so much on very similar green speeds). Or the beers.....

Quite a bit of time spent with a range session with the launch monitor on. Trying to shake off the rust and get back in tempo before R2. The one thing I am noticing is that my speed on the downhill putt/short game shots are a bit off. Three straight birdies to start but left myself above the hole and didn't judge the chip down the hill properly. Took my medicine there and a bogey. I'd say the only aggressive lines I took were with the driver off the tee. They paid off down the stretch after a bogey on 14. Clutch chip in on the last to get myself in the mix on the PC Leaderboard.

Didn't hit the ball particular well tee to green. Got lucky on some approach shots as they took the slope of the greens and ended up close to the pin. Solid pitch shots and wedge play were the scoring shots in this round especially the final stretch of holes.

The chase was on to catch paddyjk19 and nonusehki along with those atop the PC Leaderboard. Great start with three straight birdies. Had a really good idea of the break on a downhill slider on the 4th. Was right on the edge but put just a little too much pace on it and was unable to make the comeback putt. Still a solid front nine to get close to the Leaders. Bogey to start the back and needed to make a move as I was a few back now with holes running out. A great wedge on the par 5 15th put me one back of Paddy. A bit of pressure on the 17th to make par to give myself a chance on the last. I think the choice of putting the 296 Titleist driver paid off this week. Perfect drive off the tee. PW just past the pin. Made the downhill slider from 8 feet to get to -21.

Definitely the beers mate, it’s no coincidence that we both played well with beers!
