Round 3 and once again under par. To my surprise I must add. There are so many places to make a double bogey or worse on this course.

Round 3 I played with woody2718 who played really nice golf all round and was unlucky to not shoot better than -3, I made two really silly bogeys on the front 9 back to back but clung onto it and birdied the last for an undeserved half with Woody, -3 for the round. -12 going into the final round, now time for me to find a ghost who shoots good in round 4!

Played Round 4 on my own as no other ghosts available and I'm tentatively declaring "I'm back" as finally had a low one on my new PC;
Eagled 7 and then holed very long par putts on 8 and 9 before racking off 6 birdies in a row from hole 11 which saw me shoot 62 and -21 overall, some of the putting this round was ridiculous if you PC guys fancy watching the ghost - I was just laughing at times at some of the putts holed! I also had 4 very large beers before teeing off which seems to be the ideal preparation in future...

Round 4 and I had planned to play with master (hick) putter paddyjk19 just to see that fabulous round. When I saw SimChars1968 I rather would like to see if he also approached this course with 3W from a lot of tees. But he didn't! He banged out missiles with a new Titleist cannon. My goal was to keep my playing partner behind me. Started with a drive into the trees to the right, hit a tree and got my 3rd shot out of the rough to 5 feet and got away with par. Then I had anything longer than a 3 footer for par I think (Edit: remember a 5 footer now). Almost caught Paddy in the end, but it was never realistic. Very happy with this tournament - my best tournament score, my best round score. (I think I like this course now) PC leaderboard so far.

If you read my post for the first round you will understand why I went with that strategy. In USE you can't see the subtle roll-offs of the fairway landing areas, and if you take less club and end up a couple of inches in the rough and handed a 65-75% distance loss, it ain't going to work. The same as approaches to fast very sloping greens, in USE you are trusting to luck a lot of the time. I wish the course book gave you a bit more information regading the greens. Very well played though.

I have been cutting right down on beers, might explain my poor scores lately. I think it calms me down and now I seem to be getting sweaty hands like Anders mentioned, never noticed that before.

Very tough greens this week. As usual thats where the action is for me LOL! Played well but it doesn't show on the card: 76/76/72/74. As i (unofficially) play from a 4 hcp i should be happy but still... Anyway, all in all, its still very enjoyable though. Getting used to play tournaments again as i have been playing so many matches in the past. Tournament play has its own dynamics (for me) and its the only time i put the in-game commentary on too, which stills sounds fresh and funny. When i resumed on the 16th hole during a round i was welcomed back by the commentator with an appropriate remark which amused and surprised me! Anyway, i gave it my all and thats all i can do. Great set up, great course and good fun. On we go to the desert in Dubai!

Totally went off the rails on my first round, hoping I can clean this up with my next 3. Was hitting GIR, then sending it to hell with putting lol

After a few beers and a swing recalibration and both seemed to work wonders. Tactical golf all the way for approach distances, more 3 wood off the tee than driver, also the putter was good and the 7 foot eagle putt was a huge left to righter. Best I have played for some time. The 17th bogie was a 3 putt, but one of those 25 footers that you need the hole to stop the ball and all downhill past the hole. Best I have struck the ball for a long time and that 12 foot birdie putt on 18 felt good
