Staying in Spain, but to the mainland and Catalunya we play Catalunya Invitational at the Stadium course at the PGA Catalunya Golf Resort.
The PGA Catalunya Golf Resort was made by the European Tour - first to host the 1997 Ryder Cup, but since then the Spanish Open. It was designed by Angel Gallardo and Niel Coles. They did not manage to get the course ready for the 1997 Ryder Cup, and the course was opened in 1999. The second course on the resort - the Tour course, opened in 2005.

 Ok. let's start with the good news. 1. What a beautiful course, really a pleasure to play. 2. I made 16 pars, which I am very satisfied with. Now the bad news, I made double bogey on the 9th and even worse I made a quintuple bogey on the 8th. I 7 putted there, of which most missed putts were from about 5 feet. A little bit of advice for you guys who still have to play, be very conservative with putting on the 8th. Anyway, besides that enjoyed my round, looking forward to the next rounds. |

Had a crazy first round. Managed to save pars on 1 & 2 with very long putts. Sliced the teeshot on 3rd that but in ended up back in the fairway. Played the approach shot safe right and it ended up ok, chipped in from the fringe for an eagle 3. Missed the approach shot long left on 6th, ended up with a slight downhill bunker shot that hit the pin in the middle and went down for a birdie 3... Started the backnine with better tempo, birdied 11-13. One-putt eagle on 15th, I thought I would miss the green left but the ball had bounced right to the green leaving an uphill putt... Unfortunate bogey on 16th after shooting through the green and having a difficult chip. A birdie on 17th out of nowhere after what looked like missed shotright, but the ball caught the ridge and rolled left towards the hole. Also a bogey on 18th after trying a seve-like sliced revocery shot from fairway bunker to a back right pin, failing that miserably, leaving the pitch shot short, and missing the long putt. My score didn't really reflect my shotmaking as I was mostly all over the place, but my putter was hot.   |

Back home for a week from work. It's been great down in Big Sur (South of Monterey, CA). But the Wifi is horrible for 2k21 after work 🤣 Missed out on last week's USE tourney due to that. Glad to get this one started with R1 today. Only Titleist club I added to the bag was the 294 driver. Changing it up for some added distance. Lots of putts on the edges. After nonusehki exceptional First round, wanted to close the gap. Only mistake was getting too greedy in trying to split the trees from the right rough on 13. Clipped the trees and splash. Pitched long but got lucky with a chip in for bogey. Still pleased with an opening 66.  |

Forgot my scorecard from round 1. I find this course very intimidating and even in these nice conditions, I'm happy with a 73. Hit a drive through a lot of trees and into water. Had no idea where I was dropping the ball, haha. Well, that was a triple...
And a reminder. What I think separate USE the most from TST and all others is "No Splashing Outside Bunkers". Hard to remember if you play with splashes in other rounds.

Four roller coaster rounds on another fantastic course by andersnm. For every birdie I would make I would compliment it with a bogey. I birdied #18 to finish the tournament under par at (-1)  |

Anyone having an issue with the game crashing while playing this course? I have had a major issue with it crashing on my PS5. When I played a practice round it crashed on me 6 times. I have no idea why. I had to go back to my PS4 just for this week to play the tournament. |

Took 3 attempts to load the course but was worth it in the end,one of those rounds where my tempo was spot on mostly.Worryingly after finishing playing I went to stream some tv through my sky app & have had some problems with unresponsive buttons.Hope I don’t have further problems otherwise I won’t be finishing up this week.

After about 10 crashes, I was able to finish my round. 88 (+16) Won't blame that for my score though, had some blowup holes. Hopefully round 2 wont crash, if it does I may have to wait until next week to compete. |

Round 2 and changed the Titleist 296 Mega Bazooka to my old, familiar Callaway. A couple of chip ins and very good approaches left me with a 67, and in need of chock treatment, haha. I think this course is very difficult, so I tried to hit the safe shots all the time. Still made birdies and had no longer par putt than 5 feet I think. And that was after pitching out sideways from the trees and hitting a SW to those 5 feet, not counting hole number 4 The 4th hole... Second day in a row I hit a drive through the trees into water. Must remember to hit a 3W tomorrow.   |

My sim putting over last 2 nights was pretty average. TST greens were frustrating. Tonight in USE, missed a heap of putts and chips by the barest of margins.
Sloppy first 3 rounds -4, -3, -2 but chipped in on 54th hole to get some momentum. -6 on front 9 in Rd4. That was it. Nothing else happened so -6 for the round and -15 total.
Some good scoring going on so could be a packed leaderboard.
