Round 1 and was teeing off with the Amazing @pakalolo77 (if that sounds like a magician, it's because he is). Missed the green on the very tough par 3 4th and had an awkward stance at it lead to a double bogey. Other than that, I think I played quite a bit better that Will, who seemed to have problems hitting it straight. Still, he finished -5 and I finished -4. I'm not a magician.

I took the wrappers off my new Titleist Clubs for R1. I must say, I had an enjoyable stroll around the links in R1. The conditions were very favorable (Thanks colly)! I managed to finish with a clean card (that doesn't happen often) and (-6) for the round. Another beautiful course selected by Mark!

After some pretty desperate performances lately, this round was rather sweet!

I think I need to stop storing my putter in the freezer 🥶. 36 holes of pure frustration on the greens.Way off the pace this week.Still love Royal County Down though 😁

You can forget my second round, I know I will. Was ahead of @pakalolo77 after 8, but when putting for birdie (a long putt) my mouse speed got crazy again. 4 putted and tried to fix it, but couldn’t. That turned out to be an added difficulty that drove me over the edge and I sipped played through instead of rage quitting that also was an option I considered. Next time I quit and reboot and rejoin.
Ended E so I guess I shot +4. Coming back with something to prove next week. 😁

Finished up at Royal County Down. I had it to -9 going to #13. Got on a Bogey train and lost 3 strokes. I finished up at even par for the round and -6 for the tournament.

Right back to the usual mediocrity! Really up and down round, quite typical in those windy conditions I suppose.

First round: good front nine, bad back nine. Oh well. Second round: okay - another 72, so +2 total. Played better than wimigbg this round which I can live with.

First round: -2. My first round under par with these settings (in very favorable conditions, but still). So immediately I started the second round in a good mood. It did not last long. +9 in the second round. RCD really showed its teeth in the wind. I could not find the fairway with my driver and then par is a difficult score to make. Anyway, I still enjoyed the course a lot. Hope to catch up a bit with you guys in the next 2 rounds.

Played a practice round and still hitting fast tempos so recalibrated and presto I have my swing back 1st round with Simon's ghost and man he played well to hit that 61. I couldn't hole a medium putt on the front 9 for birdie and I missed a few, back 9 got the ball rolling with a tough 21 footer on 10 and a tricky right to left 13 footer on 11 for birdies and a tap in birdie on the par 5 12th hole. Stupid mistake on 17 by being greedy in the fairway bunker. Round 2 with Roger, after his great 1st round he struggled a bit on the firm greens. The conditions were tough with tricky pin locations firm greens and high wind. Enjoyed the grind though and a 72 feels like a decent score, with a birdie on 18 to tie with wimigbg Top course, really enjoyed playing it.

I think this is one of Cathal's recreations. I have watched quite a few pictures and videos of this course, and I can say that alot of the elevations on the course is quite inaccurate. But, elevations without lidar data is hard, right @sirwade ? For example, one of the most famous holes on this course is the 9th - and in real life, you have uphill and can see the fairway with ease to the hill. But other than that, it is a great recreation.
