Steady if unspectacular opening round for me.Royal Dornoch is right at the top of my wish list for a round irl,haven’t made it up there yet but hope to one day 🤞

Round 2 stats:   Although FIR and GIR dropped, 1 putt % and 3 putt avoidance improved. Scrambling dropped but par breakers and birdie conversion increased slightly. Results?:  Slight improvement. BTW IMO that pin on the 2nd? Hmmmmm, would LOVE to see THAT grid. Probably looks like a dented screen door. Sold on not having shot feedback on? Meh. Still like the distance on, I see no advantage to it other than seeing the number hit close to the target gives me positive vibes for the next shot. Onward. |

Can you guess which one?  Felt a rager coming on....gathered myself....namaste, namaste..... Actually surprised I was able to hold it together to shoot level for the rest of the round. To the polar opposite, VERY proud of my effort in the gales of round 4. Hit some great partial pitches in this one:  Onward ya bunch of USErs! |

Round 1 as well as I have played for a while, could of been better if my 30 foot putt on hole 3 didn't go less than 1 foot. The Xbox pad can be sensitive if you don't pull back firmly, only poor hole was 6 which I overhit the 41 foot 1ft downhill putt. Nice to see that lovely ball flight that comes from striking the ball well in the tempo box, I don't need feedback to see that. Very happy as my putting was so much better than last week but burned about 5 or six holes incuding 1 horseshoe for birdie. I will take the 63 though  This hole I had to club up more to smash it through the bushes, turned out pretty well   |

Frustrating when screen recording software doesn't work for video and screenshots also, I have this with Nvidea and Windows at times. Hole 2 a 8 foot huge breaking right to left birdie putt. I aim massively right but hit the putt too short to find myself 14 yards away off the green but managed to hit the pitch stone dead. Very, very bad pin position even on 144 greens. Also hit a 61 yard pitch from being 71 yards away to find I had an 85 foot putt, that green brutally slopes front to back can't remember which hole it is. Great play from wimigbg who played really well and hit a 68. I hit a 70 after a poor front 9. |

We will encounter bad pin positions now and then (we have that earlier as well). Unless we playtest every single course on every pin-set .. I do not have the time for that, and I don't think Paul has either.. Anyone up for playtesting every pin-set on every course? It is unfortunate when it happens, but at least it is rare in our schedule that it happens. |

I got a DB in the 4th round. Yes downwind with a massive front to back slope, either hit way short or put some huge spin on the ball for those who haven't started round 2. |

However, this course is very well known for the raised greens. Miss on the wrong side on this course - and you will get punished. This is one of my absolute favorite courses in Scotland (it is costly to play here irl though, so it is unlikely I will prioritize playing it - 200 pounds for a round is steep.. it is Old Course at St Andrew prizing). |

I think shot feedback is only an advantage if you hit practice swings. As it gives feedback on tempo and percentage swings. |
