I found this video by Jeremy Mayo. Different way to do retaining walls. This would be too wide for my course but I'm thinking I could put 2 retaining walls of thickness around mine. I have to decide to go for smoothness or closer to the real thing. www.youtube.com/watch?v=HF2Ckre3PgA

Golden Horseshoe GC (L) is published. I'm not completely happy with it but it was the best I could do.

Great job mate π
I don't absolutely love the colours but, do you know what, they do suit the course. They suit the mulch, and the trees actually slot in nicely as well. So I liked the colours more than the alpha/beta, even if you didn't change them π
As for the rest, spot on planting and sculpting, and plays a dream. Some really interesting holes too. This is a good addition to your portfolio ππ
I shot -6 on the front 9! Then got to -7 on hole 10 or 11, then all pars until a bogie on the last π could've been an amazing round...

Thanks for the compliments Leon!, yeah I changed the colors from the alpha and betas. I was going to go with the color I had in GHGC 4 but changed them right before publish. I had a very hard time picking the colors but eventually settled on what I thought was the closest to the real course. I saw you played the white tees. I'm glad you enjoyed the course. Thanks for giving it a play! πΊπΊβ³ποΈββοΈ

I just finished playing a 4 round tournament with all 4 pins from the Gold Tees. Headed to the club house at Even par. I did christen the course in the third round with a HIO on the par 3 12th!

Very nice course. The 1st hole made me think βPar 5, drive and a wedge? Iβm going to crush this oneβ. No, I didnβt think so, haha. And the green made sure I was happy with a par. Have you made something to the heavy rough? I have never had so thick rough every time. Like the US Open. Had to pitch with a SW from 18 yds. And the steep edges off the greens had me pitching from under 10 yds a couple of times. I like it when I have to think about my shots.
Played from the back tees, made sure of that, haha.

The pitch is a very effective shot from 10 to 20 yard, tbh I probably use it more than chip from those distances. Going to gives Wade's course a try this weekend.

I guess I could as well, but if there's not an advantage to fly it all the way, I feel I got a better chance holing it with a chip.

I really like the feel of the pitch LW from 10 to 35 yards, it is from 35 to 53 it gets more difficult to guage distance.

IRL I usually manufacture a shot with my SW, grip down, move the ball in my stance etc for what I feel the situation needs. In the game, itβs more restricted, but I still pitch on feel/experience only.
