Very enjoyable pairing with artvandelay for round 1 on the beautiful St Enodoc GC, both of us hit 65's. Haven't played the course before and was missing out, the course looks fantastic. Long game was not quite on song and was a bit scrappy but still managed to miss 7 and 8 foot birdie putts but was way off from how well I struck the ball in round 4 at West Hill. Started strongly with a 20 foot birdie putt and finished strongly with a 24 foot birdie putt. My long putting was very good and 6 long putts holed including 16 foot par putts on 2 and 14. 14 was crazy, hit the wooden sleeper just on the right of the green twice that shot my ball miles through the green, hit the difficult pitch too long but managed to hole the tricky left to right putt. My short pitching was good I tend to use it more than chip from 11 yards to 18 yards from below the hole as bumping a 9 iron to 7 iron into the slope isn't the ideal shot sometimes when off green and on the fairway for instance. 41% long putting and 83% scrambling is a very good show in those departments and really helped my score.

Round 2 with @pakalolo77 who is such a good USE golfer I just try to keep close. Bit of a struggle and didn't play great but a great save on 14 and a really nice birdie putt on the par 3 17th hole. Bit of a grind but came in with level par 69.

Played my rounds earlier in the week. Back to the routine of playing one USE tourney round in a day. Past two weeks I've played all four in one sitting. First Round was just about as good as it could get. Quite lucky with a few chip in birdies. Second Round was in a few tough spots and under read quite a bit on these deceptive greens. Third Round literally nailed all the shots on the front nine to makeable birdie putts. Steady all of the way until the par 5 16th, where I smashed my hybrid right into the hill out of the left rough that I thought I'd be able to get over. Tried to scramble for at least a bogey but damage was done and a double bogey. Final Round, again played the front nine well in those windy conditions and quick greens. Similar to Paddy, was -17 when I made the turn and a chance to get to the -20's which I had a feeling a solid score to contend. My yardage gaps are with the longer distances and needed a partial 3 iron downhill/downwind on the Par 3 11th. But pulled it OB that I really didn't know was there. For the second double of the week. After that was tough to regain swing tempo and finished the round at Even and -14 overall. On a side note. In all my previous playthroughs at St Enodoc I've always gone for the green on the 4th. Percentage was quite high that I always ended up past the fence in the cow field. Depending on the wind layed up with a hybrid or the 3 iron in all four rounds which led to pitches/wedges and -4 for the week. Had a chance to tie Paddy's 10th hole overall score of -2 in R4. But the PW chip from 18 yards rattled in the pin and out. Must say probably one of my favorites that he has designed so far. Lots of character and different playability each time through this course. 👍

Looking at paddyjk19 score compared to his PS4 score,I think I’ll stick to PS4 😮 Different tempo and feel Mark, I doubt I would score well on PS4 without some practice. paddyjk19 has gone in cold, just look how much @pakalolo77 's scores have improved. I would recommend that Paddy sticks with the DS4 as he is used to it, it does play well with the official Sony bluetooth adapter.

I have played both I found it tougher on PS4 as I just can't hit a straight line with the DS4 controller.

Got an Xbox elite 2, was using a nacon pro before on PS4 which is actually harder than DS4 to swing straight but I preferred the joystick placement as reminded me of Xbox controller. Might have a go with the nacon but I just love how the elite feels even if it’s harder to swing straight!
