Got all my four rounds in the other night. Something I normally don't do when it comes to USE. As I really like to take my time. Can blame the designer for that Struggled with the putter on Bethpage's greens. But since my USE rounds, got back on the practice green and turned off shot feedback as seeing the putting line was starting to get to me instead of just feel when we first started this game. Adjusted for the speed with the new putting mechanics, now just focusing on the speed and it's slowly coming back. Main highlight was from Round 2 and on the 7th hole par 5, hit my approach shot and almost holed out. It ended up 4 inches away for a tap in eagle. Played the fade a lot here, I double crossed or overcooked myself into the rough and it's automatic scramble mode on Bethpage. Just didn't make enough putts here when given the opportunity. That Third Round though! Overall +11 for this event.

First round was a miss fairway round for me. Heavy rough was penal for me on some of the long holes. But I managed okay scrambling. Best shot was on the 17th, used the cuntours to get the ball back to the hole from the left side on the green for a 4 foot birdie.

hammers1man Thank you,  THANK YOU, THANK YOU  for the putting advice!     What you told me to do about touching the plastic on the backswing instead of slowly putting has totally revolutionized my putting game.    It may not be apparent in the scores yet, as this is a tough course for me to read, and I'm still getting used to the new feel, but my putts are pretty much now going where I am aiming, and rarely coming up short.    Its totally different, and the game is fun again.      On my TGCT rounds, I've went from +17 to +3!

Thanks Wade, 11 over for the back 9 combined in rounds 3 and 4 killed me this week. Was -1 combined for those rounds on the front 9 ☹️

Playing the first round with a new controller with just a calibration and a little bit of practice on the range - in USE with very high winds and tough conditions - was not a smart idea. Biggest problem I had with the new controller was the feel on the greens, so I had trouble putting. It was back to the stutter feel, so need to spend some time on putting practice.

Need to play the last round tonight though, so it may again be ugly. Positives on the new controller, is that it is even easier to hit good tempo on the long game - but I had a few big misses this round as I overcompensated on the aim a bit as old habit.

Got a little bit of putting practice in - but this is "learn putting again" thing, so it will take some time, but I did manage to get a better feel for it during the last round..

SloanerTW wins again with an impressive -17, 16 strokes ahead of Tuffguts and new member Cooks_McGooks tied on -1.
Low round of the week is a fantastic 62 by Sloaner in round 2.
