The Bethpage Black Course is a public golf course at Bethpage State Park on Long Island, New York. Opened in 1936, it was designed by Bethpage State Park superintendent Joseph H. Burbeck, who was also responsible for the park's Blue and Red Courses in the mid-1930s.Brief consultation was also provided by noted golf architect A. W. Tillinghast. It is the most difficult of Bethpage's five courses, and is known for the warning sign at the first tee, placed in the early 1980s, which reads "The Black Course Is An Extremely Difficult Course Which We Recommend Only For Highly Skilled Golfers.
In 2002, the Black Course hosted the U.S. Open, which returned in 2009, as well as the 2019 PGA Championship.
Bethpage Black also hosted The Barclays, the event of the FedEx Cup Playoffs in late August, in 2012 and 2016, and is scheduled to host again in 2021 and 2027.[6] The course is also scheduled to host the Ryder Cup in 2025.

Round one with davec187 and before I talk about my round I have to say it was a pleasure to partner up with Dave who played some of the best 2k21 ball striking from tee to green I have witnessed, awesome golf well played Dave. My round story was a little different, driver was off and was fighting the fast, tough small fairways to hit also. Best I have putting on 2K21 or probably TGC2019 from long range, holed a tonne of long putts, 55% long putts holed compared to 33% medium lol and had a lot of over 10 footers for par and birdie. Putting swing line is not so frustrating after the patch, doesn't feel so twitchy and am not just trying to get distance and not push or pull putts now. I can putt more aggressively, feels like 2019 putting but better which a real game changer for me. Really like the course shame about the 2019 heavy rough texture.

I was really in a nice groove that round. My best USE round so far. Driver was working for me and my approach shots were pretty much on point, with few slows / fasts. I think I has only one very slow, which is rare for me. Looking forward to round 2.

Was playing quite well, -2 thru 8, when I looked in the reflection of my monitor and saw that it was ME at the mouse. Score adjustment then happened:

Well it seems I've at least turned it around for round 1 anyway - carding a +1, figured that was enough for me last night - will get to round 2 sometime today..

One of my favourite courses and this designer has done a nice job, really appreciate their planting skills.
Unfortunately my golf did not do it justice, +6 when my second round crashed (PS4 not physically).
I'm having a werid time on USE at the moment, played horrendously here but then went to my Elite Tour event on TGCT and shot -38 with a 58 in the final round, I'm obviously better with the splash shot but I think I've lost my knack for holing USE putts, like in the Elite event I holed everything inside 20 feet and pretty much speed golfed the 4 rounds.
Thinking I need to start playing ghost 3 balls again on USE just to slow me down a bit and to get me thinking about the shots more.
Once gain, the reason why I love this tour, you can't smash and grab!

That final round is a seed that's going to grow next event! Thanks Paddy! I played your ghost in the first round. It helped me slow down and concentrate better! I started out -4 on the front nine until I got to the Par 3 that is downhill. I had a 6ft putt for par and triple bogeyed the hole.

I know that feeling, I’m just scrambling the arse off it which works well with scout cam and grids but getting exposed in USE and TST, still having fun which is the main thing, I’ll come into my own in the US Open Haha! I’ll make sure I tag your ghost in rd 3 as we always used to tie in the old game, literally 3 times out of 4!

Nice 4th round, Wade! Although I don’t think you have time to let it be a seed like Pat said. It needs to be more like a trampoline. Or a Saturn V rocket booster.

I’m out of town until Thursday. It may be a struggle to get my rounds in, and I’ll definitely miss TST’s first deadline. Bummer. I like Bethpage.
